The Sr. Procurement Analyst (Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights) is responsible for developing and integrating comprehensive market intelligence to support strategic decision-making. This role involves establishing, refining, and centralizing market intelligence capabilities, including should cost, category analytics, and supplier analytics, to drive informed business strategies and avoid ad hoc solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market and Industry Analysis: Develop and lead regular market and industry outlook analysis reports. Monitor industry pricing, production plant operations, and margin developments across regions.
- Data Integrity and Availability: Ensure the structural integrity and accuracy of Market Intelligence databases (MI Database). Initiate and lead the integration of the latest updates from relevant sources to ensure data availability for planning purposes.
- Market Updates and Training: Lead market updates discussions and presentation/sharing sessions with various teams. Develop and provide training on access and usage of various Market Intelligence tools, databases, procedures, and information sources.
- Subscription Management: Coordinate and manage subscription requests/renewals with various stakeholders in accordance with procedures. Maintain an updated registry on procured reports.
- Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain an electronic Market Intelligence library for knowledge management. Ensure sharing of online intelligence complies with all licensing agreements.
- Category Market Intelligence Gathering: Lead the gathering and validation of market intelligence through active interactions and collaborations with various levels of Procurement, Business, and Pricing functions.
- Project Management: Lead and organize Market Intelligence projects, taking the initiative to drive projects from inception to completion.
- Strategic Insights: Support company strategy development and updates with accurate and up-to-date market intelligence information and insights. Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Presentation Skills: Demonstrate the ability to articulate and present key actionable market and competitor insights to the management team using modern visualization tools.
- Category Market Segments Monitoring: Understand and monitor various category market segments (Front-End, Back-End, Materials, Indirect procurement) within the semiconductor industry, including but not limited to:
- Tracking, analyzing, and forecasting demand trends, such as project developments and buyer preferences.
- Tracking, analyzing, and forecasting supply trends, such as contractors’ capability, capacity, and competitiveness.
- Tracking, analyzing, and forecasting cost/price and contracting trends, such as contracting modes and prices.
- Automation and AI Integration: Leverage automation and AI technologies to enhance market intelligence processes, ensuring efficient and accurate data analysis and reporting.
- Centralization and Integration: Work to establish, refine, and integrate market intelligence throughout our capabilities, including should cost, category analytics, and supplier analytics. Drive centralization and integration to avoid ad hoc solutions and ensure cohesive, strategic insights.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Business Statistics, Finance or a related field.
- Experience:
- Over 5 years of relevant work experience in market & business intelligence, covering topics such as financial structuring, pricing, and competitive analysis.
- Strong insights into semiconductor market dynamics and economics, fab manufacturing procurement.
- Understanding of markets, competitors, value chain, and macro & micron economic analysis.
- Experience in gathering and analyzing market data to produce reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Hands on semiconductor or indirect procurement category experience.
- Regional and global insights and experience.
- Experience in use of Generative AI in market analysis/market intelligence.
