GENERAL OVERVIEW:

• This position is part of the Supply Chain Group providing procurement and warehouse services to relevant domains. Job Purpose

• Providing logistics support to internal/external customers.
• Assisting team lead on daily operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the WMS to create, monitor, and complete all logistics jobs accurately and efficiently, ensuring alignment between the system and physical handling processes. Maintain accurate online data and records to support warehouse operations and compliance requirements.
• Ensure that all jobs are completed within established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for invoicing, leveraging the WMS to streamline processes and meet deadlines effectively.
• Generate reports and analyze data from the WMS to track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as job completion and invoicing. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve operational efficiency, customer service, and overall warehouse performance.
• Serve as the primary user and administrator of the WMS for updating warehouse operations and order fulfilments
• Provide excellent Customer Service and be the main Liaison Office for key customers, appointed forwarder and warehouse for related shipment handling Operations and co-ordinate activities between stakeholders via Container Transport Operation staff, Customers, BSL inter-departments.
• Plan container devanning operations and staff deployment with the aim of ensuring business continuity and realizing service and business excellence
• Ensure regular market research on shipping related cost to ensure all shipping cost are within control and stay competitive
• Take on other job tasks as and when assigned by the superior

Qualifications and Requirements

Working Conditions

5.25 Working days per week

Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain Safety Management System, Safe Work Procedures, and Risk Assessments.
• Identify improvement areas and monitor implementation of recommended measures through site inspections and team engagement.
• Collaborate with teams to plan, implement, and maintain effective WSHE work plans.
• Investigate WSH infringements and industrial accidents, recommending preventive actions.
• Handle incident reporting, investigations, and propose corrective measures.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards, GGB, ConSASS, and Bizsafe.
• Liaise with relevant authorities on WSH issues.

Requirements:

• Registered WSHO & ECO Officer
• At least 5 working experience in construction industry (design & build/industrial warehouse)
• Working experience with A1 or A2 construction company.

Job Responsibilities

· Provide procurement support to operations in sourcing, tendering, evaluation and contract management.

· Responsible for full spectrum of purchasing process (sourcing, quotation enquiry, price negotiation, placement of orders and delivery arrangement)

· Ensure materials/services purchased are in accordance with user specifications.

· Negotiate with suppliers in getting the best price and delivery at required timing.

· Negotiate with vendors for better payment terms, etc.

· Expediting of orders to ensure timely delivery.

· Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.

· Liaise with suppliers on claims for products with issue.

· Plan and coordinate with logistic team for collection/delivery.

· Collaborate with finance to facilitate payment process to suppliers.

· Work with sales, project and procurement team in accomplishing duties as needed.

· Preparation of documentation, if required.

· Establish and develop strong working relationships with vendors/suppliers.

· Monitor and manage supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all criteria are met according to organisational requirements and expectations.

· Work closely with vendors/suppliers and responsible for clarifying on specifications, if required.

· Conduct market research and engage industries to better understand supplier landscape and market supply conditions.

· Ensure compliance with procurement policy and procedure.

· Carry out other duties assigned by immediate superior and/or higher management.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum Diploma/Degree, with minimum 2 years experience in procurement.

· Knowledge on local and overseas sources for materials and equipment.

· Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Words.

· A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to details, meticulous and independent.

· Good organisational, multitasking, prioritisation, and effective time management skills.

· Excellent verbal communication skills and active listening skills.

· Ability to think critically and resolve problems/issues

· Positive attitude, proactive and self-initiated.

· Good written and spoken language skill (English and Chinese/Mandarin to handle China vendors/suppliers)
