About the role

The incumbent will be part of a larger team within the Logistics department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.

• Oversee WH activities meeting customer’s requirement (include Pick/Pack, Receiving, Outgoing Automation and Ecom activities)

The Successful Candidate

• Diploma & Above

• 3-5 years of warehouse experience

• Preferably in logistics related field, 3PL is preferred

• Possess forklift license is a bonus

• Ability to speak well confidently and build rapport with customers

• Good MS Excel skills

• Strong mentality and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Sourcing and Procurement members
• Optimize the organization's procurement process by developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to align sourcing strategies with overall business goals
• Evaluate quotations, create competitive advantage for best price, lead time and delivery terms
• Responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with suppliers
• Work independently to source for new suppliers according to Direct & Indirect requirements
• Analyse current spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings. Manage cost reduction activities to achieve annual cost reduction KPIs and provide regular reports to management
• Implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency within the procurement process
• Prepare and execute contracts as well as perform post-award administration (eg. Negotiating, issuing change orders, and contract close-outs.)
• Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, and regulatory factors
• Ensure compliance with Company’s Sourcing and Procurement guidelines and policies

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management / Engineering background
• 8+ Years experience in a Strategic Sourcing in Direct and / or Indirect procurement business environment, knowledge in DCS and other Engineering industry Sourcing and Procurement
• Sound knowledge in understanding and negotiating Terms and Conditions of Purchase with Suppliers
• Deliverable-focused, self-motivated with an Analytical mindset with proficiency in data to excel in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
• Experience in SAP / HANA / Ariba and other Procurement system / software is an added advantage
• Expert in Excel / BI report knowledge
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Job Description

• Perform warehouse duty of inbound, outbound activities, ensure proper cargo checking upon receipt and issuing.
• Administration of WMS, stock take & cycle count activities, housekeeping of warehouse area, safe warehouse practices and security.
