About the Role
Within an Agile framework, our team provides testing as a service to various squads within a banking and finance domain Agile Release Train. This role ensures the seamless transition of new features and applications into the production environment. We are looking for a new team member to enhance our testing capabilities and collaborate effectively with squads.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with squads to develop effective test strategies and plans.
- Review and analyze user stories with a focus on testing and testability.
- Execute test cases, document results, and report defects in an audit-compliant manner.
- Support squads in troubleshooting and resolving defects during the development process.
- Develop and improve test automation processes, working with fellow test engineers.
- Provide continuous feedback by reporting defects and issues to the squads.
- Ensure quality throughout the change process by working closely with the squads.
- Enhance the testing service through continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with fellow testers.
- Support the transition of changes into production by conducting post-release testing and support, including training for support team members.
Requirements
Must Have
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester, preferably within the financial industry.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and QA methodologies.
- Experience testing both in-house developed applications and vendor-based systems.
- Excellent understanding of functional and workflow-based system designs spanning multiple interconnected systems.
- Solid knowledge of securities lending, repo, and back-office processes, including:Settlement workflows (e.g., DVP, FOP).
Corporate actions and their impact on securities positions.
Familiarity with trading, collateral management, and financial workflows.
- Experience working with Temenos T24.
- Proficiency in using Jira and other testing software/tools.
- A positive, can-do attitude with high motivation to acquire new technical and functional skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with test automation and management tools such as Selenium, Tosca, or X-Ray.
- Knowledge of financial messaging standards like SWIFT (MT5xx series) or ISO 20022.
