A leading tech company is seeking a skilled professional to join its APAC Finance team. This role is ideal for candidates looking to accelerate their development, contribute to new initiatives, and thrive within an innovative work culture. The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating across functions, offering accounting insights to support strategic decisions, and balancing attention to detail with the agility needed for fast-paced growth. This position works closely with both internal and external partners at all levels and reports to the International Accounting Manager based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory financial statement compliance for an assigned portfolio of APAC entities.
- Build and manage relationships with external vendors involved in preparing financial statements, reviewing outsourced work as needed.
- Oversee and coordinate audit processes with statutory auditors.
- Collaborate with Tax Teams for corporate tax and VAT filings.
- Prepare or review tax-related balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly in line with US GAAP for assigned APAC entities.
- Track and manage APAC statutory audit activities, working with the Statutory Operations COE team.
- Support the adoption of tools, solutions, and frameworks to enhance statutory compliance processes.
- Partner with Technical Accounting Operations and Technical Accounting Teams for consistent implementation of IFRS and other standards in APAC.
- Assist in preparing technical accounting memos for complex transactions alongside the technical accounting team.
- Work with cross-functional teams within and outside Finance to achieve team objectives, including ad hoc financial analysis or special projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Recognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA).
- 6+ years of relevant experience with a fast-growing multinational company or professional services firm (e.g., Big Four).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a broader perspective.
- Experience in process and system improvement.
