Looking for a qualified Engineer with a Diploma and/or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with around 5 years of experience in the heavy structural fabrication industry.
The suitable candidate must be familiar with workshop processes in terms of welding, fabrication sequences, lifting methodologies, job allocation, and prioritizing. Soft skills to manage a multi-racial workforce with various skill and trade levels. Able to explain to the shopfloor staff the fabrication sequences and the ability to visualize the challenges ahead of time is a pre-requisite. Able to achieve and deliver set targets on time, maintaining a high level of safety. Knowledge and compliance with statutory safety requirements are a must. Ability to rise up to the occasion when the situation demands it.
Preference will be given to candidates with suitable experience and valid residence status, willing to travel a long distance, and with exposure to site work.
