We are looking for a Compliance Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to be responsible for financial, operational and regulatory compliance. You will ensure that the company’s operations conforms to defined specifications and complies with relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards. You will also be involved in project such as SAP implementation across Singapore and overseas entities.
Responsibilities :
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures : Create, review, and implement policies in compliance with local laws/ regulations and /or head office’s guidelines. Prepare businesses procedures and forms for companies to adopt and use.
- Monitoring business operations : Monitor business operations for non-compliance and guide the business operations to improve their procedures.
- Training employees : Train employees on laws and regulations, and communicate with them to ensure they understand their role in compliance
- Liaising with external bodies and head office : Liaison with Head office and subsidiaries for items that require approval; Interact with external auditors and regulatory bodies, and prepare and submit regulatory paperwork
- Creating documentation : Create and maintain records and documentation
- Involved in implementation of SAP across Singapore and other entities.
Future work plans :
- Advising the business : Advising the internal management team on compliance matters
- Researching legal requirements : Research legal requirements for new initiatives
- Conducting audits : Perform periodic audits and investigations, and apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for various departments and multiple companies in Singapore and overseas.
Requirements :
- Minimum Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, engineering, finance or law
- Strong management and leadership skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills
- Good MS Office skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Time management and organization skills, ability to prioritise work
- Experience with SAP Systems and implementation would be an advantage
