ofi Vendor Quality Food Safety Manager
This will be a global role taking responsibility for organizing and facilitating the global Supplier Management Community of Excellence .
As the global facilitator for the supplier quality assurance program the successful candidate will ensure forward control in the supply chain to ensure high quality and food safe ingredients and packaging material is delivered to our sites. The role will include reviewing the supplier base, audit global planning and managing the performance monitoring of global vendors.
Scope of the role
In this role the global facilitator will define and lead the deployment of the Supplier management program as defined in the global standard. This will include but is not limited to supplier documentation management, coordinating supplier auditing and the accommodating system roll-out to manage and track the supplier performance. The successful applicant will report to the Regional Quality & Food Safety Lead.
Key deliverables
- Understand the global Supplier base, the risk assessment of vendors and materials and accordingly prioritize vendor assessment needs.
- Governance and planning of Supplier Audits, practices and documentation
- Define and deploy the global best practices for the ofi supplier quality management, including all ingredient, packaging suppliers, co-manufacturers and co-packers.
- Define the right risk-based approach to steer and prioritize the supplier management program, globally.
- Build a cadre of auditors across all regions and ensure calibration program
- Collaborate with procurement to develop processes to review supplier performance and the right follow-through with our suppliers
- Work closely with ofi site quality managers to support complaint raising in cases of incoming goods incidences and supports vendors if needed in their RCA.
- Support regions to build a supplier auditing schedule and co-ordinate the audit program with the different locations/regions.
- Lead the performance program review for all incoming materials, incl. co-manufacturers and co-packers.
- Define, develop and deployment of the right systems to support the supplier data management, supplier audit reporting, supplier performance and supplier review.

- Define Supplier criteria, based on a risk-based approach to ensure the right Supplier KPI’s and Forward Controls at our suppliers for all sites.
- Ensure updated programs and supplier reviews are in place to ensure compliance with any regulatory changes
- GAP assessment Supplier management of the different regions/sites to understand what is needed to set-up the right structure, globally
Qualifications and Competences
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Quality Assurance.
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Quality leadership in Manufacturing of Food, Ingredients.
- International management experience in project management and motivating teams.
- Skilled in the FSC22000-certification and experience in manufacturing sites and supply chain.
- Proven skills in Quality Management & Problem solving, 5-Why-Root-cause analysis, Fishbone.
