Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and accurate AML/CFT compliance advisory to the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the company complies with applicable rules and regulations
• Keep abreast of AML/CFT regulatory changes and provide timely dissemination of regulatory updates to ensure that the business units and relevant departments are aware of the latest rules and regulations
• Implement and maintain robust framework for AML/CFT compliance reviews to assess the implementation of applicable rules and regulations
• Devise and maintain AML/CFT training materials and conduct regular trainings to all staff
• Undertake additional functions and duties when required

The Role

You will be working in teams to assist your Audit Seniors in audit support work for primarily the life insurance clients.

Your Profile

Ideally you shall equip with knowledge in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related disciplines that possesses an analytical and quantitative component. A self-driven learner with the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques such as proprietary actuarial software and cash flow models. You should have an appreciation for structured methodical research, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an understanding for the application of these skills in the business environment. A natural curiosity to identify, investigate and explain trends and patterns in data and the ability to analyse and break down complex concepts and technical findings into clear and simple language for communication to team members and clients.

You are expected to have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), including VBA programming. Knowledge of any of the following will be an added advantage:

1. Programming (e.g. VBA, C++, Java, Python)
2. An analytical software (e.g. R, SAS)

The Job:

• Provide support for day-to-day operations by assisting in the team’s functions
• Assist in monitoring competency standards required of supervisors and representatives to ensure alignment with regulatory and industry guidelines
• Ensure timely reviews and follow up with representatives on cases triggered by Company approved monitoring system, and information via other sources reported to the department
• Assist in developing and implementing communication plans on competency standards
• Engage and coach representatives and supervisors in areas of sales activity, quality of sales / sales management, and training needs as and when required
• Perform trend analysis to detect potential sales advisory and market conduct risks

The Requirements:

• Degree holder and above in related discipline (Banking/ Business/ Finances/ Accounting) preferred
• 2 - 3 years of compliance / audit experience in Financial Services or insurance industry would be an added advantage
