• Develop, review and maintain group data governance framework, standard and policies to ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements on Personal Data Protection (e.g. PDPA, GDPR)

• Act as key point of contact (PDPA Officer) and subject matter expert data. Provide timely and accurate data governance and protection advice to staff.

• Identify emerging data governance and protection risks and opportunities, and develop data policies and guidelines to help manage such risks or capitalize on opportunities.

• Be familiar with developments in the data governance and protection domain, including changes in legislation both local and overseas, decisions and guidelines by PDPC and industry developments.

• Review and provide inputs, comments and revisions to Data Sharing Agreements that may be entered into.

Requirements

• Min 4 years relevant working experience in Personal Data Protection preferably in hospitality or real estate industry.

• Strong proficiency in the domain of data protection, data governance and PDPA obligations. - As the team lead for Data Policy, you will be expected to have a sufficiently strong command of data protection obligations, good data/IT governance principles and practices in order to contribute effectively.

• Good writing and communication skills, with a particular strength in clear and concise policy/technical writing. A significant portion of the work requires the role to articulate their thoughts, policies and strategies in the written format.

Main Roles and Responsibilities：

1) Take the lead in promoting the management and control of high-quality development in the region；

2） Cooperate with the Legal Department and the Corporate Development Department of the headquarter to fulfill compliance due-diligence per regional company compliance management standards (including license management);

3） Cooperate with the Supervision and Audit department of the headquarter to implement regional company risk management and comprehensive internal control management;

4） Responsible for organizing and guiding the operating companies in the region to carry out compliance management and internal control management;

5） Responsible for establishing and improving the early warning system of local compliance operation in the region and within its operating companies;

Responsibilities:

Reporting to Head of Compliance, the Compliance Manager (DCM/Merchant Banking) oversees the regulatory requirements of the Merchant Banking activities of SBI, Singapore. This position is accountable for the effective second-line oversight of the implementation, maintenance and administration of the compliance management.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SBI, Singapore’s Compliance program to mitigate risks of non-compliance and ensure adherence within established compliance risk appetite
• Maintain current knowledge of Singapore regulatory requirements that affect the business
• Oversee compliance monitoring activities for SBIS Merchant Banking activities, including oversight of the compliance process, and effectively challenge the business on regulatory compliance issues

Requirements:

• Graduate in Banking, Finance or other discipline
• Preference may be given to post graduate degree in legal or related field of study, with related compliance certifications a plus
• Candidates with ACAMS or Diploma in Compliance would be preferred
• 5+ years relevant work experience in Compliance in financial services industry, including Compliance management experience in Equity Broking, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and Securities Trading compliance or equivalent regulatory experience
