About the Role:

As we accelerate our growth journey in Asia, Brooks is seeking a Quality Engineer to join us in Singapore.

Reporting to the Director, Quality Engineering based in the US, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing quality plans, metrics, programs, and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and analyses. You will be responsible for ensuring that the performance and product quality of Brooks Manufacturing and Contract Manufacturers conforms to established company, customer and regulatory requirements.

You will review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to the assembly and process while leading investigation of problems and developing dispositions, modifications, and corrective actions for recurring or non-recurring discrepancies. You will also act as the key interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure all quality requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the quality lead and interface for products built at Brooks and at Contract Manufacturers. Leads the development, modification, and maintenance of quality evaluation, control plans and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
• Manage assigned product failure analysis, report generation, and present to customer.
• Lead problem solving teams utilizing 8D methodology.
• Lead cross-functional team Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities to drive performance improvements.
• Assist in the process for ensuring that corrective actions (CAPA) are completed in accordance with relevant ISO requirements (ISO 9001), Advance Problem-Solving methods, and that documentation is complete and compliant with requirements.
• Conduct Data Analysis and prepare metrics detailing field product quality.
• Manage quality data for accuracy and report generation.
• Identify, and analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Lead quality meetings with contract manufacturers and factory work cells.
• Support factory process certification activities for New Product Introductions (NPI) process.
• Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• May specialize in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, research and development of our products at our contract manufactures.
• Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a Quality Engineering role.
• Hands-on experience working on Electronic or Electromechanical equipment.
• Experience using statistical methods and tools such as Gauge R&R, Statistical Process Control, Capability analyses, data mining etc.
• Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of the Semiconductor manufacturing industry related to Capital Equipment would be highly advantageous; prior Copy Exact experience would be a plus.
• Certification in Six Sigma, Project Management, or Lean preferred
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with Ufinity, you will be part of a team to develop and test web applications. Your role in the team will is to ensure quality and test the product. There may also be opportunities to do development of features for various projects.

Your broad responsibilities will include:

• Drive product quality and QA practices
• Validate product features as per acceptance criteria
• Design, develop and maintain the testing environment, testing framework, test plan, regression test suites and test cases in accordance with changing requirements
• Perform various tests such as Manual/Automated/Functional/Exploratory testing/Cross-Platform Testing for the various platforms (iOS, Android, Web)

Requirements:

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, of Professional Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, Engineering (Computer / Telecommunication) or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in quality engineering
• Good understanding of mobile (iOS and Android, ReactN) and web technologies (React.js, Node.js) with respective debugging tools
• Experience in automated testing tools/frameworks
• Initiative to go the extra mile such as by creating tools to improve testing processes
• Good team player with good communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Reviews technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and standard pertaining to the project requirements
• Prepares and reviews the project quality documents, procedure, ITP
• Reviews drawings, documents & weekly updated drawing register from document controller and distribute to project QA personnel
• Administers the project internal quality audit to ensure compliance with the project quality plan
• Monitors the inspection and documentation activities of QA Inspector to ensure complain with inspection test plan and project quality requirements
• Resolves quality related issues arising from sub-contractor and in-house production
• Performs E&I related Equipment and material inspection during receiving meet the purchase specifications
• Ensures protection and preservation of Electrical & Instrument system
• Ensures updates on electrical completion and mechanical completion progress at the project database
• Liaises with owners, class surveyors and government bodies pertaining to project requirements
• Coordinates the testing/ commissioning requirements with Engineering, Project Manager, QA Department, and vendors
• Reports non-conformance and issues improvement note, where necessary
• Performs any other assigned duties and responsibilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture / Marine and Offshore / Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines
• API 570. CWSIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector
• At least 3 years of relevant Quality Assurance working experience, preferably in the offshore and marine industry
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiar with loop test, hi pot test, mechanical completion checks ITR
