Responsibilities:

• Lead the Quality Control (QC) team in conducting thorough quality checks and inspections on precision-engineered parts for the semiconductor industry.
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control procedures and protocols to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products.
• Provide hands-on support in performing detailed inspections and measurements to verify product specifications and adherence to quality standards.
• Train and mentor QC team members in effective quality inspection techniques and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent defects.
• Utilize quality control tools and equipment to facilitate inspections and maintain accurate records of inspection results.
• Analyze data and generate reports to monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in quality control and inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably in precision engineering or semiconductor industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving quality objectives.
• Excellent understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Proficiency in conducting precision measurements and interpreting technical drawings.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding rigorous quality standards.

Our client, a leading chemical manufacturer, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as QC Lab Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise QC laboratory technicians and ensure all technicians working in QC lab are competent on quality and safety requirements through on-job and refresher trainings.
• Ensure quality and safety procedures are reviewed and updated in compliance with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards.
• Troubleshoot instrument error, investigate root cause of QC lab instrument abnormality and provide corrective and improvement actions (CAPA).
• Maintain LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and support in system enhancements.
• Closely coordinate and collaborate with all relevant personnel (production supervisors, process engineers and external parties) to resolve any quality and safety related issues in QC lab.
• Understand and implement Customer Specific Requirement (CSR) related to QC laboratory.
• Support Management of Change (MOC) for any planned changes in QC laboratory that impact quality and safety.
• Responsible for departmental purchases to support laboratory operation and improvements.
• Responsible in the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, calibration and verification of analytical instruments and systems (Viscometer, GPC, GC, HPLC, FTIR, KF Titrators, etc.).
• Responsible for review and upkeep of Risk Assessment, Work Instructions, and related QC laboratory documents and record.
• Participate in both internal and external audits related to quality and safety. Perform auditing on periodic basis (system, process and product audits).
• Perform any delegated assigned by Quality Manager/Assistant QC Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Quality related functions such as Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or similar Quality systems with experience in Quality audits.
• Demonstrated leadership skills including teamwork, communication, prioritization and change management.

• Location: Jurong Island (company transport provided)
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours
• Salary: S$6,200 higher (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
