Role: Quality Engineer (QE)

Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of construction materials, processes, and workmanship throughout a project. This role involves developing QA/QC documents, monitoring site quality control activities, monitoring compliance with standards, and implementing quality assurance procedures to deliver projects that meet contract, client specifications, international standards, and Singapore regulatory requirements. JOB DESCRIPTION

• CP test program development.
• Work with designer to develop test programs, debug programs, solve problems.
• Work with commissioned factory to identify, propose, prioritize and implement test automations.
• Design automated test scenarios accordingly to test plan with its acceptance criteria
• The commissioned testing factory product management.
• Test plant test plan management. Ex: prepare test environment, test data, update functional test scripts according to changing requirements
• Contribute towards continuous improvement of testing practices/tools to improve test strategy and efficiency
• Help to ensure every release happens in a timely manner with a high level of quality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Electronical Engineering ,Computer Science, Software Engineering or other equivalent degree/experience
• Strong VBT scripting skill and C++ programming background
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin is required to liaise with Chinese associates/clients
• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with Process Engineer & Engineering team to establish QC standards.
• Creating documentation for inspection criteria and quality plans.
• Collaborating with QA, Process, and Product teams to address quality issues through corrective action.
• Conducting in-process audits and final quality control audits with the Process team.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Manufacturing/Quality Engineering or equivalents.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in Electronics Manufacturing Industry.
• Responsible for controlling Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA).
• Oversight of quality control for incoming, in-process, and outgoing products.
• Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, 14001, 13485, and 45001, and FDA requirements.

Purpose:

Ensuring that the manufacturing and engineering processes adhere to quality standards and regulations.

• To monitor and control the production process, ensuring that any defects or deviations are detected and corrected early.

• Responsible for manufacturing quality assurance including in-process quality, semi-finished product quality, and outgoing product quality.

• Drive robust manufacturing system and process quality to meet internal and customer requirements and expectations
• Perform analysis on non-conforming quality incidents and internal errors and provide recommendations to meet internal and customer requirements and expectations
• Support Customer Quality to investigate customer product complaints
• Be responsible for manufacturing quality KPIs and reporting to senior management
• Lead a team of engineers to drive NPI and First Article quality requirements and system
• Provide leadership and consulting advice in quality matters
• Plan and lead manufacturing process audit to drive root cause analysis for outgoing inspection lapses.
• Lead, train, develop, and coach Quality team members. Manage performance evaluation and strengthen the organization.

Qualification & Experiences:

• Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical) or Material Science.
• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance function, at least 3 years as a quality leader with supervisory experience in the manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and practice in 8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QFD, 6-sigma methodology, PPAP, change management.
• Good understanding of First Article Inspection requirements and expectations
• Strong in statistical knowledge and 6-sigma methodology. Certified Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
• Strategic, creative and systemic thinking
• Excellent leadership and effective communicator with all levels of associates and management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, structural engineering,or a similar field.

Relevant NDT certification.

10+ years' experience as an NDT technician.

Advanced knowledge of NDT technologies including ultrasound,infrared, and radiographic.
