Purpose Statement
This role will drive business development and growth of the Electrophysiology franchise/ products across ASEAN, Korea, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan through market/ competitive analysis, use customer and own technical insights to develop/ enhance products/ product line(s), work collaboratively with regional and global stakeholders and ensure implementation of AP Franchise Plan, budget and marketing excellence standards in line with regional marketing objectives.
The individual will collaborate closely with the Portfolio Acceleration Team to provide customer insights, portfolio gaps and market regulatory needs to ensure faster launch and market access for products.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy Planning: Support the strategic planning efforts for the franchise across relevant countries in the region through mapping the market, identifying potential gaps and exploiting new opportunities in line with franchise strategy and global guidelines to drive growth of the franchise
- Business Planning: Develop/ support Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and lead execution of AOP (budgets/ resources/ activities etc.) for the franchise across relevant countries in the region
- Market (Market Conditions, Customers, Competitors) Analysis: Lead execution of market analysis activities (Market research, identification of new opportunities, therapies, technology advancement competitors etc.) for the franchise to generate insights and support development of marketing strategies
- Marketing Operations: Initiate and lead the design and implementation of marketing programs in the region, develop networks and establish advisory boards; ensure alignment of own activities with International functions (Finance, Supply Chain, Health Economics, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality), establish strategic vendor relationships and periodically review effectiveness of marketing operations across the franchise in the region
- Product Life Cycle Management: Lead and monitor the execution of product centric plans (like new product launches etc.); oversee coordination with operations team to manage the supply chain for products, review monthly forecasts, backorders & plan inventory transitions for new products, track portfolio performance and ensure accurate and timely reporting across the region for the franchise
- Marketing Communications: Monitor execution of BSC branding/ marketing communications in the franchise across the region; provide inputs for brand messaging; guide impactful tools and innovative approaches; monitor and evaluate impact in line with the global communication guidelines to ensure appropriate brand positioning for own products. Requirement of strong communication skills interpersonal and via multiple media, ability to put thoughts across coherently and able to drive Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) engagement
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders/ KOLs/ economic buyers and influencers as relevant to own domain; participate in conferences/ symposiums, guide program design to develop advocates to communicate key company messages to the medical community; network with counterparts in BSC global to drive regional objectives. Ability to influence regional and global stakeholders through relationships and persuasive communication skills
- Sales Enablement: Liaise with regional & in country sales leadership for the franchise to align sales and marketing objectives; drive sales team capability needs assessment and guide programs for capability building on products and clinical messaging; align with global to identify marketing collateral and disseminate them in country to ensure achievement of franchise marketing objectives and sales support as required
- Quality: Ensure awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of BSC; As interface to the Customer and Sales Organization has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors; Responsible to facilitate and champion the quality requirements and the message of compliance to internal and external customers for all events and campaigns
Qualifications
- Possess at least a Degree. Additional postgraduate qualification is preferred. Candidates with MBAs and knowledge of the Electrophysiology franchise with the ability to hit the ground running will be prioritized
- Familiarity and professional experience with ASEAN, Korea, India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan markets is preferred
- Proficiency in Korean, Mandarin or another APAC language would be advantageous as it aligns with the need to assist and engage with the corresponding markets
- Ability to drive revenue generation through well-crafted downstream marketing plans partnering with colleagues on the ground
- Candidates with prior experience in Electrophysiology and strong understanding of the industry, procedures, physician mindset, solutions sought
- Proven track record of successful execution of tasks and possess leadership potential
- Displays drive and ambition, ability to develop new skills, strong vision and problem-solving skills, and invests in self to grow into more senior marketing roles
- Experience working with external stakeholders/ distributors to grow commercial footprint through geographical penetration/ co-licensing/ co-promotion
- Ability to work across different cultures
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders, especially with the global teams
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Possess strong prioritization, project management and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
