The Bruker Applied Mass Spectrometry (BAMS) Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for growing applied MS sales and support the sales and strategic objectives in the South APAC regions in conjunction with the Bruker’s sales channels and marketing teams. The objectives include the generation of better-than-market growth within the market segment, acceleration of sales and pipeline development, identification and access to new accounts, managing the business relationships with existing ones, positioning and promotion of the BAMS solutions, conglomeration of knowledge within the market area and feedback of information into the company to design novel market solutions. A key focus will be to introduce and drive new Direct Analysis in Real Time (DART) MS systems in the region.
- Drive growth of BAMS sales in South APAC in the applied markets food, environmental, Industrial and forensics with an annual sales quota.
- Understand the customer’s value chain, critical success factors, and key initiatives based on which the business plan and sales strategy are developed.
- Identify and map target accounts, develop and execute account penetration and development plans.
- Generate and develop new sales opportunities as part of continued pipeline development for the region.
- Partner with sales channels for driving growth.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly activity reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline growth reports.
- Identify and establish working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL). Leverage these relationships to position and promote Bruker solutions within the market segment.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on lead generation and nurturing. Prepare, organize and manage local marcom events like internal and external conferences and workshops.
- Study all aspects of the market, including market size in the territories, competitive products, technology developments, business opportunities, standardization, and regulations. Feedback of information into the company to help designing novel market solutions and developing our strategy in a competitive environment.
- Provide continuous education to the Sales and Support teams for key requirements for the BAMS markets. Communicate how Bruker solutions address customer’s needs, formulate, and present their value proposition.
- Collaborate with other Bruker divisions to ensure Bruker market positioning and leadership.

- Knowledge of the applied market (customer categories, key accounts, analytical technologies and their typical applications, etc.).
- Strong personal credibility to influence technical and financial decisions at a high level.
- Working knowledge of applied mass spectrometry
- Ability to present and promote Bruker solutions to a variety of prospects and customers.
- Ability to set priorities, develop and execute plans in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability for extensive travel, including international.
Education and/or Experience:
- Degree in chemistry, physics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales of capital equipment, ideally in mass spectrometry.
- Experience in lead generation, new account penetration and management.
- Sound background in analytical technology and mass spectrometry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.
