[What the role is]
Working in the Memorial Facilities and Planning Division within the Public Health Services and Capabilities Group, you will assist the section to provide after-death care services at government cemetery and crematorium office.
[What you will be working on]
You will be responsible for the following:
Lead, plan and oversee exhumation programme
Lead a team to carry out preparatory works, such as ground survey, verify documents, plot layout plan and clean up burial records of the affected graves prior to physical exhumation
Manage registered exhumation and niche contractors and other parties involved in exhumation related projects
Oversee cremation operations, together with the maintenance and overhaul of cremators
Ensure compliance to the SOP for pulverisation operations and maintenance of equipment
Lead and coordinate with external agencies in other operational work (Qing Ming operations, 7th month and other festivals operations, etc.) at the CCK Cemetery Complex
Attend to public feedback and enquiries, including handling difficult customers and putting up recommendations to challenging cases
Track and monitor ground situations, including statistics collation and reports preparation
Develop and review work process, and put in place systems to ensure efficient operations with no errors
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
[What we are looking for]
Experience in leading and managing a team of at least 10 officers on operations and contract management
Good problem-solving, writing and communication skills
Mature, independent, responsible, and resourceful
Good team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and investigation skills.
Have physical stamina to carry out site checks, and withstand exposure to weather conditions
Preferably possesses Class 2 or 3 license
Able and willing to work on weekends and public holidays, and to work in after-death environment.
