Responsibilities
· Perform patch management for Windows servers and database systems to ensure security compliance and system stability.
· Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to proactively identify and resolve issues.
· Configure and maintain monitoring tools to ensure visibility into system health and performance metrics.
· Implement and maintain configuration management processes to standardize system configurations and ensure consistency.
· Troubleshoot and resolve operating system and database-related issues in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and updates to the infrastructure.
· Document operational procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Skills/Requirement
· Local Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows and database operations roles.
· Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
· Extensive experience with database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Databases.
· Knowledge of patch management best practices and experience with patch deployment tools (e.g., Ivanti, Tanium).
· Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios or SolarWinds.
· Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Skills:
· Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent.
· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
· Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
