Marketing & Communications Associate (MarComms)

(A) What the role is:

The associate will be part of a team among operation managers, designer, and engineers, to carry out communications of the values and features of uParcel and her umbrella of services. This is to ensure continuous engagement of current clients and conversion of potential customers.

He/she will implement effective integrated communications and engagement strategies through both digital marcoms and social media.

(B) What you will be working on:

• Analyse the key competitiveness of uParcel's services & promotions - from storage, commerce, to same day delivery, especially within the Singapore and Malaysia markets, in order to develop a corresponding marketing communications strategy that will drive business objectives.
• Subsequently, identify key messages and target audiences, tailor campaigns to resonate effectively, and continuously monitor industry trends and competitors' activities to refine communication strategies.
• Transform technical/complex information into compelling concepts/stories and scripts for publicity materials including videos, animation, and graphic designs.
• Conceptualise, write, and copy-edit publicity materials.
• Hands-on design of visual contents and scripting/filming/editing of basic social media assets.
• Manage and oversee the content calendar.
• Experiment and implement variants of the communication plans across engagement platforms. This includes the uParcel app & web, issues and notification management, new launch announcements, email outreach, blogs for SEO, and social media.
• Monitor and measure the performance of the campaigns to suggest what to adjust until we reach the business outcomes.

(C) What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in mass communication or related fields
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong experience in social media and creation / management of digital assets
• Familiar with Adobe and Figma software for graphic contents
• Basic filming experience, and video editing skills with Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, and/or CapCut equivalent
• Self-motivated to propose and refine suitable marcomms ideas
• Able to experiment and work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment
• Keen interest in growing a tech-based local company

Requirements

• Educational Background: Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven track record in sales and marketing, preferably in pharmaceutical or FMCG sectors.
• Marketing Skills: Successful product launches, multi-channel marketing strategies, and familiarity with design tools and digital platforms.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding or adaptability to pharmaceutical products, regulations, and practices.
• Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for presentations and networking.
• Analytical Abilities: Proficient in market data analysis to create actionable strategies.

This is a commission-based sales hunter role - you will need to focus on acquiring new accounts on top of managing existing customers, representing the company and providing our solutions across compute, storage, AI/HPC, networking and more.

Reporting to the Head of Sales , you are responsible for the entire sales cycle, from identifying, to developing and closing deals in order to meet sales targets.

You will need to generate regular and timely forecasts, reports and account status to ensure that your sales targets are met.

Essentials

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT industry, with at least 2 years in a quota-carrying sales position
• Good understanding of IT hardware market, and healthy interest in AI/HPC trends and developments
• Independent, resourceful, good analytical and communication skills with bilingual abilities in English and Mandarin
• Should possess minimum of Diploma/Bachelors’ in Marketing/Computer Science/Business or related discipline

Plus

• Experience in responding to tenders on major portals (GeBIZ / Ariba / Tenderboard)
• Ability to design and propose infrastructure (compute/storage/network/security) products and solutions is a plus
• Ideally possess a valid Class 3 driving license with own vehicle

Remuneration

Commission-based, with a base starting salary of up to S$3-4k depending on applicant’s experience.
