[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for the following:

• Supervise, monitor and renew or establish new contracts and tenancies administered by the department

• Oversee the overall contract formulation process from of gathering user requirements, tender preparation, conduct of tender briefing and evaluation of tenders to appoint vendor

• Supervise the administration of contracts to facilitate user departments to meet contract specifications when using and managing contracts

• Facilitate departments to meet WOG rules for tenancy and office space management

• Manage the department’s tenancy agreements pertaining to office spaces including performing cost and budget estimations, putting up papers for approval and ensuring timely renewals as well as its execution and routine administration

• Review, manage and plan the policies and processes of the Administration services functions under the department

• Manage and lead a team of officers under the branch

• Other duties assigned may include assisting the branch in financial management, project management, access reviews and administration of relevant IT system(s)

[What you will be working on]

• Conduct investigations of suspected violations of Singapore Tax Laws and assist in the prosecution of tax evaders

• Analyse cases to determine if a tax crime has been committed

• Prepare reports to recommend penal actions to be taken on non-compliant taxpayers

• Act as the complainant to prosecute tax evaders and testify in court as an expert witness

• Arrange for the payment and collection of under-declared taxes and penalties from tax evaders

[What you will be working on]
You will join a dynamic team tasked to supervise exchanges, market operators, clearing houses and intermediaries (brokers). You will carry out day-to-day supervision of exchanges, market operators, clearing houses and intermediaries to ensure that trading in securities and derivatives is fair, orderly and transparent and to promote stronger and more resilient capital market infrastructures and intermediaries. You will also have responsibility for reviewing and assessing new licence applications. 

There will also be opportunities for you to participate in business process reviews and other related transformation work to improve the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.

[What you will be working on]

The officer will be part of the team that works closely with CBA to formulate precinct-wide initiatives to raise awareness and drive engagement with the precinct. He/She will also work closely with precinct stakeholders and associations to drive stakeholders-led marketing efforts such as Chinatown New Year Celebrations, River Hongbao, Five Footway Festival, Qi Xi Fest, and Chinatown Mid-Autumn Celebrations.

The officer will oversee one or two key assets in Chinatown such as Chinatown Heritage Centre, Chinatown Street Market and Chinatown Visitor Centre. He/ She will ensure that we leverage and maximise the tourism value of these assets to showcase the precinct’s heritage and culture, deepen visitor experience and maximise tourism returns.  He/ She would need to work closely with the appointed operator(s) to ensure that the asset(s) are well managed and there is robust programming such as events, workshops and activities as well as strategic marketing plans to drive visitorship and enhance visitors’ experience.

To achieve the above, the officer should adopt a strategic and holistic view to align plans with other agencies. This involves shaping available land sites, assets, and offerings to drive the tourism agenda and ensure alignment with the Board’s strategic vision for the precinct. He/ She will also work closely with our Marketing colleagues and Regional Offices to ensure alignment and provide updated and relevant content to facilitate the marketing of our cultural precincts in the respective marketing channels.

[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for the following:

• Lead, plan and oversee exhumation programme

• Lead a team to carry out preparatory works, such as ground survey, verify documents, plot layout plan and clean up burial records of the affected graves prior to physical exhumation

• Manage registered exhumation and niche contractors and other parties involved in exhumation related projects

• Oversee cremation operations, together with the maintenance and overhaul of cremators

• Ensure compliance to the SOP for pulverisation operations and maintenance of equipment

• Lead and coordinate with external agencies in other operational work (Qing Ming operations, 7th month and other festivals operations, etc.) at the CCK Cemetery Complex

• Attend to public feedback and enquiries, including handling difficult customers and putting up recommendations to challenging cases

• Track and monitor ground situations, including statistics collation and reports preparation

• Develop and review work process, and put in place systems to ensure efficient operations with no errors

• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

The Organisation Development and Planning Division (ODP) is responsible for driving long-term organisational effectiveness in MAS. Drawing from various disciplines and fields, ODP comprises dynamic individuals with competencies across culture and leadership development, change management and internal communications, behavioural sciences and corporate planning. You will be part of a team that carries out both organisational development (OD) and corporate planning work.

In this role, you will:

• Have a systems-level perspective of areas in which the organisation needs to transform to be highly effective in today’s context. Actively learn about leading company practices, both private and public sector, and adapt them to suit MAS’ context. Key focus areas will be leadership practices and behaviours, and organisational culture.

• Design and facilitate workshops to engage the leadership community on organisation-wide issues, building awareness about potential organisational changes and seeking leadership alignment. This includes running regular medium to large size workshops for leaders, including customising the design and facilitation execution. It also includes advising other teams on programme design for a more engaging and effective workshop.

• Develop and deliver culture interventions to raise awareness and alignment across the organisation, embed and reinforce behaviours, mindset shifts and new ways of working. It may also involve providing targeted support for high- or at-risk groups, departments and/or teams, to identify detrimental cultural and behavioural patterns, and design and facilitate fit-for-purpose interventions to positively impact effectiveness and health.

• Engage relevant stakeholder groups across the organisation, including senior and middle management, applying the insights to support the interventions for organisational change.

• Partner closely with the lead departments to co-create and plan changes relating to people and processes.

You may also be expected to perform aspects of corporate planning relating to whole-of-government initiatives, corporate governance and organisation excellence within MAS.

[What you will be working on]

The Organisation Development and Planning Division (ODP) is responsible for driving long-term organisational effectiveness in MAS. Drawing from various disciplines and fields, ODP comprises dynamic individuals with competencies across culture and leadership development, change management and internal communications, behavioural sciences, and corporate planning. The division also serves as the Secretariat of the MAS Board and the Appeal Advisory Panel (AAP).

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the MAS Board, Appeal and Corporate Planning portfolios:

• Board secretariat:  Lead on, inter alia, organising the quarterly Board meetings, handling the appointments of Board members, and reviewing board governance policies and processes, such as code of conduct, remuneration and conflict of interest matters.

• AAP secretariat:  On appeals, any person aggrieved by an administrative decision by the MAS can appeal to the Minister-in-charge of MAS. In such cases, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire appeal administrative process, and will be required to liaise directly with various parties, including the Minister, the AAP members, both parties to the appeal and the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC).

• Corporate planning: Lead on organisation-wide projects that will require you to coordinate across departments in MAS. Some of these projects relate to whole-of-government initiatives, which involves liaising with other agencies. You will also be responsible for strengthening corporate governance and ensuring organisation excellence within MAS.
