The Corporate Finance Officer reports to the Head of Consulting and M&A. The responsibilities are as follows:

1. Assist senior M&A managers to search for business partners, sellers or buyers.
2. Perform market research of potential business partners, sellers or buyers.
3. Assist senior M&A managers in structuring corporate advisory proposals and perform all other ad-hoc tasks as requested.
4. Perform valuation of projects undertaken by the Bank.
5. To work with legal counsels and counterparties in contract documentations on transaction terms and conditions and all other related matters.
6. Assist the M&A team members in the execution of contract from beginning to closing.

Position Summary

The Financial and Trade Officer in a commodities company oversees the financial and trade operations related to the procurement, sale, and distribution of commodities (e.g., base metals, palm oil products). Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations

• Manage trade financing facilities such as letters of credit (L/Cs), bank guarantees, and trade credit insurance.
• Ensure timely payments and collections from clients and suppliers in accordance with trade agreements.
• Monitor cash flow related to commodity trading operations and prepare financial forecasts.

2. Risk Management

• Assess credit risk of trading counterparties and recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Monitor exposure to currency, interest rate, and price fluctuations in the commodities market.
• Work closely with hedging and derivatives teams to manage market risks.

3. Trade Documentation

• Prepare and review trade documents, including contracts, invoices, and shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading).
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to track shipments and resolve discrepancies.

4. Market Analysis

• Analyze global commodity market trends, pricing, and demand forecasts.
• Provide financial insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.

5. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with banks, trade financiers, and insurance companies to secure funding and risk coverage.
• Collaborate with trading, legal, compliance, and logistics teams to align operations with company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients to foster trust and ensure long-term partnerships.

6. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all trade and financial operations comply with international and local trade laws, sanctions, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Trade, or a related field.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in trade finance, commodities trading, or related financial roles.
• Prior experience in a commodities company or trading house is highly desirable.

• Prepare and process quotes, and other sales-related paperwork. (Airfreight /

• Preparing reports on a weekly/or monthly basis.

• Trouble Shooting (Damage Cargo, Billing Issues, etc.) (Airfreight / Seafreight /

• Coordinate with internal teams such as outdoor sales, operation, finance, and

customer service.

• Work alongside with outdoor sales with generating new business and maintaining
