The Regional Clinical BD Manager is primarily responsible for strategizing, planning and executing for business growth. The job holder manages the Principal to develop new customer segments, create demands, identify opportunities, source for leads, engage the prospects, follow through and secure the deals to meet/exceed the sales targets, as well as to engage, train, service and support the customers and users on an on-going basis.
The Regional Clinical BD Manager also works closely with the Managing Director to drive and foster a culture of accountability, performance, excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Development and Sales Management
- Drive the pursuit of the company’s mission, vision and core values to foster a committed, competent and growth-oriented workforce.
- Strategise and plan for business growth to achieve the overall financial performance targets and sales targets for various products relevant to different regions.
- Drive a culture of effective cost management and resource optimisation.
- Lead change management in an integrated manner, lead transformation projects and deal with issues to improve organisational agility and performance.
- Foster strategic business partner relationships with stakeholders to further the Group’s business objectives
2. Branding, Marketing and Products Development
- Oversee the organising of marketing and promotion events and activities, education and collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders and suppliers.
- Formulate demand creation strategies and new product service offerings, sharpen sales channel utilisation and lead new business initiatives to improve revenue streams and meet market demands
- Continually engage customers and users to understand their evolving needs and introduce new products and solutions to meet their needs.
- Lead the scanning and assessment of industry developments, competition landscape customers’ evolving needs, government initiatives and regulatory changes to identify and seek business opportunities.
- Conceptualise and decide on branding matters, marketing positioning and communications, as well as review and approve marketing materials/collaterals
- Support and facilitate the country directors and business unit managers to formulate and execute sales plans and activities
- Continually review the portfolio of solutions and products and decide on initiatives to boost sales, maintain profitability or enhance customer stickiness
- Identify, source and introduce new solutions and products that are of interest and value to customers.
- Lead the launch plans, training & competency assessment to support the roll out of new products
3. Process Efficiency and Adoption of Technology
- Provide oversight and direct the improvement of business processes and work procedures to raise productivity and efficiency
- Direct and oversee implementation of customer relationships management and process improvement projects, jointly with the local Offices
- Critically oversee cost management ensuring that resources are optimally utilised, wastages are minimised, and inventory is moving and at optimal level.
- Drive the identification and implementation of new technologies to enhance business
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Business Management or Healthcare related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in commercial / clinical role with at least 3 years in a manager role
- Familiarity with the medical devices
- Leadership and managerial skills and experience
