We are looking for a senior actuary to join our growing Global Life Financial Solutions team for Asia Pacific. This team is responsible for all financial solutions business globally for Life and Health.
The role provides the opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of products and innovative reinsurance solutions in diverse Asia Pacific markets. The candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our Global Life Financial Solutions team, and the wider enhancement of PartnerRe’s Life & Health propositions.
Your mission is to develop and price financial solutions transactions whilst supporting new product development to grow PartnerRe’s revenue in the Asia Pacific region.
Additional responsibilities to include:
· Develop, structure and market appropriate reinsurance solutions encompassing accounting, regulatory and economic risk-transfer aspects
· Technical development of pricing tools to analyze risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions.
· Contribute to the deal execution involving responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients, and prepare internal approval reports
· Work with the Client Partners, APAC CEO and APAC Financial Solutions Lead to broaden client contacts and client base in Asia Pacific region
· Develop a high profile within L&H APAC business establishing regular contact with stakeholders and decision makers.
· Build strong rapport, trust and credibility with the team and corporate functions to continue to support an increase delegation to the FinSol organization to continue to improve the streamlining of deal approvals whilst having the right controls.
· Support as required the promotion of PartnerRe’s expertise through targeted marketing efforts, supporting client visits and externally representing and promoting PartnerRe's capabilities.
· Working on other ad-hoc projects as required
About you

Moreover, you have the following background, skills and mindset:
· Based in either Hong Kong or Singapore
· Fluent English speaker with Asian languages is desirable.
· Qualified life actuary with at least 8 years of relevant financial services industry experience
· Strong actuarial background in pricing life and health insurance / reinsurance and familiar in accounting standards (e.g. IFRS-17), solvency regimes (e.g. ICS and EU Solvency II), financial reporting, valuation, EV, and ALM.
· Comfortable in a client facing capacity as well as working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
· Organised and self-motivated to drive forward ongoing solution development.
· Great communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Experience in actuarial pricing and structure bespoke reinsurance agreements will be ideal.
