Responsibilities and Duties:
Within EtonHouse Schools (Or within Singapore)
- Support EtonHouse Schools to continue to understand and implement the Reggio Approach.
- Conduct visits to campuses within EtonHouse to oversee implementation.
- Conduct research within EtonHouse & Network schools to understand what is required.
- Build and manage a working group / advisory group for Reggio Inspired Educators within
- EtonHouse.
- Support with development of identity witin EtonHouse schools.
- Build connections with community – companies and families in Singapore.
- Create projects to ensure collaboration between schools, network and Reggio Children - oversee
- process, progress and deadlines within projects.
- Develop and coordinate study groups within Singapore and oversee implementation of approach.
- Support the induction and training of educators in the delivery of the Reggio Emilia approach.
- Create publications to be published on behalf of EtonHouse & REACH.
Across The REACH Network
- Support other schools within Singapore and South East Asia to continue to understand and implement the Reggio Approach.
- Build and manage a working group / advisory group for the REACH network.
- Provide opportunities for the network members to grow and learn / construct, arrange, organise professional development sessions, conferences for REACH.
- Communicate with REACH Network - Ensure we are visible and accessible as a network across Singapore and the region – social media.
- Facilitate meetings and provide opportunities to connect within the Network, encourage projects.
- Coordinate with Reggio Children and other networks across the world.
- Welcome and host Reggio Children and Network members when they visit Singapore.
- Work closely with the relevant teams on the implementation and delivery of events and projects undertaken by REACH as part of the network.
- Support the development of content assets for REACH such as the website, social media platforms, marketing materials etc.
- Support with the development and organisation of conferences and exhibitions within the region.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A full understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and its application in different settings.
- An ability to implement the Reggio approach in the classroom to demonstrate the benefits of the approach.
- An understanding and empathy with the complexity of other pressures faced by teachers when engaging in the Reggio philosophy.
- An ability to enthuse others and provide leadership in implementing the Reggio Approach.
- Recognition and determination to achieve highest possible standards in Reggio philosophy.
- A track record of creating, planning and implementing Reggio inspired environments and the practice of the pedagogy.
- An ability to design and produce training to support EtonHouse schools and wider network with their understanding of the approach and how to implement it, within their context.
- A qualification in early childhood with atleast 5 years of demonstrated experience in the Reggio Emilia approach.
