Sales Development Representative

You will be the key link between marketing and sales, supporting top-of-the-funnel sales for a given segment, and working closely with the sales team on a demand generation strategy that drives both inbound and outbound leads. Some of your responsibilities may include supporting more targeted campaigns and executing a wide range of tactics to drive and seek out higher quality leads, contributing to our growth and revenue plan. You will have the unique ability to understand the characteristics of a given segment and translate that into demand generation.

What you'll do
- Own the top of Thredd’s sales funnel for the APAC market by qualifying inbound leads and driving outbound sales engagement.
- Act as gatekeeper for our Business Development team, ensuring that only qualified leads are allowed to pass through to sales and purging unqualified or bad-fit leads.
- Develop target account lists that align to Thredd’s ideal client profile and create outbound sales strategies to engage with key decision makers.
- Leverage business intelligence tools to uncover prospect information including tech stack, company revenue, funding history, buyer persona, etc as well as past marketing behaviours to determine lead quality.
- Execute multi-touch sales engagement cadences including social outreach, email, phone, discovery meetings, and attendance at networking events.
- Craft personalised messages with appropriate value propositions for Thredd’s customer segments. Utilise messaging that builds trust and positions Thredd as an experienced leader in the payments space.
- Specific campaigns that are built and delivered as part of your strategy should have trackable metrics and align with your overall strategic objectives.
- Conduct discovery meetings where you will represent Thredd’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
- You will endeavour to stay up to date on the industry and businesses. You will assist with research into areas such as industry trends, latest developments etc that will assist with developing sales leads.
What you'll need
- Experienced with CRM (Salesforce.com), Sales engagement platforms (Sales Loft, Outreach, etc.) and business intelligence tools (ZoomInfo, Crunchbase, Sales Navigator, etc.)
- Understanding of payments landscape
- Proven understanding of different lead generation and sales engagement techniques
- Data-driven approach – base your strategy on facts rather than opinions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and questioning skills/techniques. You should be a great writer, speaker, and listener.
- A deep understanding of email communication. You keep the inbox at zero.
- Ability to develop, manage, and maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders.
- An ability to grasp new technologies, in addition to demonstrated interest in our business.
- Affinity to both sales and technology
- Excellent organisational skills
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
- Willingness to travel to local and regional events/conferences.
