Overview

Job description – Analyst / Manager

The role of the Market Risk Manager & Product Controller is to monitor and analyze P&L and market risk exposure on a day-to-day basis for Credit Trading desk. It involves monitoring and measurement of positions against the bank’s limits. In addition, the analysis and calculation of independent valuation adjustments and reserves are part of this role. The wider team in Singapore consists of seven other members covering Rates Trading, Global Securities Financing, Structured Financing. The team has a joint responsibility to deliver on the quarterly requirements for reporting/control as well as system project roll-outs and regulatory compliance projects involving their respective asset class.

Key Responsibilities

Daily

• Ensure timely delivery of accurate daily P&L, VaR and Risk report
• Perform P&L attribution and Risk analysis independently
• Ensure excesses are rectified/explained or escalated
• Backtest the VaR and highlight/explain outliers
• Ensure accurate booking of trades to enable efficient risk management and balance sheet valuation

Monthly

Special Duties

To be responsible for planning, developing new room sales business while maintaining and servicing. existing accounts.

Responsibilities

· To be responsible for securing rooms sales from corporations, travel agencies and leisure markets.

· To assist General Manager and DOS in planning and formulating sales strategies for the rooms department.

· To conduct daily sales calls (about 4-6) and visit potential clients to promote and sell the guest rooms as well as to secure tour group reservations for meal periods at the coffee house.

· To liaise closely with the Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping to up sell whenever possible and to ensure effective management of room inventory, ensure cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and for any other matters pertaining to the needs and requirements of the customers.

· To prepare proposals, contracts and confirmation letters, monthly rooms Sales Forecast and revenue and other correspondences and forms required to ensure smooth operations of all the department.

· To discuss special rates and requests with the DOS and General Manager.

· To follow up with the customers to obtain feedback of the service rendered and conducts post mortem sessions when necessary with the operations personnel to minimise guests' complaint and regularly meet with fellow team members to explore avenues to improve the rooms sales.

· To seek market intelligence, visits competitor hotels and compile a feedback report on a quarterly basis for the DOS and General Manager on the prevailing and expected market trends and highlights any new developments in the market. Based on these market intelligence, he/she and the General Manager will formulate pro-active strategies and plans to ensure that YWCA Fort Canning’s business and profitability is sustained.

· To attend the monthly Sales Meeting to present his monthly sales report and provides feedback on the market situation and competitors’ analysis and contributes ideas to improve business and to achieve his gazetted profits in his area of responsibility.

· Apply strategies in diverse situations to manage work relationship within the organisation or with external parties to build a stronger and effective team.

· Support any ad-hoc task as assigned by the management.

Requirements :

· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferably in Hospitality, or Leisure sector.

· Familiar with different market segments and proven good sales track record of managing corporate accounts in relevant sectors. · Sound knowledge in long term sales strategies and associated practices.

Job Description

1. As a Manager LNG Marketing, in cooperation with the GM of the organization, contribute to the development of the overall LNG Marketing & Shipping strategy.

2. Maintain and enhance customer relationship with the existing LNG Buyers of the company, in close consultation with the GM and other team members. Especially, keep close communication with the existing LNG Buyers to maintain the strong relationship of trust by providing necessary project update in a reasonably frequent manner.

3. Contribute to maximization of the value of the Company's LNG portfolio by pursuing any possible sales opportunities, including negotiation and execution of Master Sales and Purchase Agreement (MSPA), short term/mid-long term SPA, etc.

4. Lead the development of the Implementtation Procedure with the existing Buyer as well as Annual Delivery Program (ADP) management system, in close cooperation with Shipping team and Logistics team.

5. Contribute to the development and optimization of the Shipping strategy of the Company, by working closely with the Shipping team as well as providing necessary and adequate inputs of marketing related information to them.

Job Requirements

1. Have work experience of LNG Marketing including custumer relationship with Japanese LNG buyers more than 10 years.

2. Have the skill of analysis/negotiation of LNG related legal documents, especially the LNG SPA, Implementation Procedure as well as Time Charter Party.

3. Have work experience of serving as a Company Representative for Joint Venture Committee meeting of LNG projects.

4. Must have the skill of speaking and writing fluent English and Japanese. Must have the ability to serve as an Interpreter of English/Japanese negotiation. Have deep culture knowledge of Japan.
