Reporting to the Head of Digital Infrastructure and Operations, you will be part of the team that oversees the on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure. This is a technology management, maintenance, and operations role where you will be the subject-matter-expert and is accountable for the fitness-for-purpose of your area.
You will manage and operate the uptime, as well as operating hygiene of the on-premise and cloud IT infrastructure. You will also work with internal teams such as application teams and cybersecurity teams to maintain the stability and fitness-for-purpose of the IT infrastructure as well as the business systems that reside within.
Your Role:
1. Maintenance and Operation of Hybrid IT Infrastructure
- Maintain the on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure running 24x7.
- Plan, design and execute hardware refactor and software upgrades to ensure they remain fit-for-use and fit-for-purpose.
- Execute routine maintenance such as patching, reconfiguration and other required maintenance.
- Monitor the health of on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure and rectify abnormalities when necessary.
- Manage data backups and replication.
- Execute corrective maintenance and operational processes.
- Manage the software licenses and intellectual property assets and taking responsibility to ensure fit-for-use and fit-for-purpose.
- Manage maintenance support agreements with vendors and ensure they are fit-for-purpose and renewed on-time.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date system documentation such as technical drawings, configurations, maintenance procedures, software and hardware asset inventory, and any other associated artefacts.
2. Management of Cloud Environment
- Manage the cloud environment on Azure and other cloud computing platforms, including production, staging, QA, DR and development environment running 24×7.
- Manage the configuration, provisioning, scaling, deployment, monitoring and security of resources in Senoko’s cloud environment e.g. Compute and storage, Networking and connectivity with on-premises environment, logging and monitoring, disaster recovery etc.
- Manage cloud services and features to fulfil business requirements while optimizing cost and performance, and automate routine processes where applicable (e.g. through the use of deployment templates)
- Implement business systems in Senoko Energy’s cloud environment (IaaS, PaaS or SaaS) or other 3rd party cloud services.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization and take prompt actions to rectify discrepancies.
- Ensure Senoko Energy’s cloud environment follows standard best practices and fulfills the IT policies, data resiliency and cybersecurity requirements.
- Look out for changes to cloud technologies utilized by Senoko Energy regularly. Manage the impact of such changes to Senoko Energy’s cloud environment by taking prompt action.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies to ascertain their suitability and recommend them for Senoko Energy’s use where applicable.
Your Profile:
- Degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent. Diploma holders with equivalent skillsets, certification and experience will be considered.
- Certified Microsoft Azure Administrator (Highly preferred but not compulsory)
- Strong background in enterprise IT infrastructure maintenance and operation.
- Strong understanding across on-premises and cloud infrastructure components (compute, storage, network, security, data, backup, applications etc)
- Intermediate to strong proficiency in cloud environment management (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Technically passionate and detail oriented. This is a highly technical role, the incumbent must be comfortable with technology and has keen attention to technical detail.
- Sense of ownership. The incumbent must be highly self-motivated and take responsibility for the outcomes of the systems under his/her charge.
- Motivated and Adaptable. The incumbent will be tasked to explore new technologies to support upcoming business initiatives or improve existing processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. The incumbent will be required to form a strong working relationship with the team and other business users for him/her to gather their thoughts and requirements.
