A fast-growing player in the Manufacturing industry is seeking a Finance and Payroll Accountant to join their organisation.

You will handle the key areas of finance and HR/Payroll admin matters such as processing of the daily cash receipts, updating of sales invoices, and send monthly billing statements to customers. You’ll manage supplier invoices, prepare monthly bank reconciliations, and support the quarterly GST report. For HR and admin matters, you will You’ll manage payroll processing, CPF filings.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in Accountancy and Finance, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and payroll experience in a fast-paced environment. You are an independent worker, and comfortable being hands-on.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare a full set of accounts, including monthly audit schedules, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing and submission of management reporting packages.
• Conduct variance analysis and generate various financial reports.
• Support the preparation of budgets and oversee budget control processes.
• Monitor and reconcile inter-company transactions.
• Oversee quarterly GST submissions.
• Coordinate with tax agents for corporate tax filings and ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement).
• Collaborate with external parties, such as corporate secretaries, tax agents, auditors, investors, and government authorities, as needed.
• Implement process controls and recommend system/process improvements.
• Assist with grant applications, claims, and audits.
• Prepare presentation materials for AGM based on financial statements and company plans.
• Manage finance-related projects and new initiatives, such as system implementations.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience as an Accountant in a mid to large organization and/or as an Auditor with an Accounting firm with ISCA, ACCA, or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
• Effective communicator with good teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with Xero is a plus.
• Proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
• A self-motivated individual who can independently plan, organize, and take the initiative to meet job goals and deadlines.
• Experience with ERP systems, including involvement in ERP implementation, is preferred.
