As sales and applications engineer you are required to develop applications for sales departments and provide sales staff with technical product information and support. The duties include improving applications, performing installations and maintenance, and resolving client queries.
To create high-end applications that will increase our company's sales. In this role, your duties will include developing software applications, tracking consumer trends, and training our sales department on the technical specifications of applications. You will also be required to provide support to our clients.
To ensure success as a sales applications engineer, you should demonstrate extensive experience in application engineering, as well as in-depth knowledge of a sales environment. Sales Applications Engineer Responsibilities:
- Understand customer's business status, look for business opportunities, and foster good customer.
- Develop new customers' account.
- Have your own customer base is a high plus point.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and after-sales support to customers.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on sales enquires/proposals from customers.
- Prepare sales visits, maintain customers' contact database and update project status/activity reports on a weekly basis or as and when required by immediate supervisor.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops/training with customers for the Management and Product Marketing as required
- Support marketing activities in seminars, trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
- Maintain a sound technical/application knowledge base on all products.
- Deliver presentations and hands-on demonstrations of Our client's products, applications, and technology for the purpose of product sales.
Sales Applications Engineer Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years of engineering sales experience.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficient with Windows-based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Customer-driven and results-oriented.
- Persistent and proactive character (a hunter sales).
- Willing to travel overseas for training, trade shows and/or meetings, etc.
