Business Development Manager Job brief

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
• Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
• Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
• Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
• Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
• Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
• Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.
• Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the director.

Business Development Manager Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
• Proven sales track record
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
• Proficiency in English
• Market knowledge
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build rapport
• Time management and planning skills
• BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).

• Engage senior management to support organisation development and change interventions.
• Facilitate talent review sessions with line managers to identify and manage high-performing individuals for mission-critical roles.
• Facilitate the redesign of the organisation structure to better deliver its vision, mission and strategy.
• Guide hiring managers in selection of candidates with right competencies, experience and culture fit through effective appraisal.
• Guide line managers in their understanding and usage of performance management policy, framework and processes.
• Guide line managers in usage of compensation strategies and programmes to attract, motivate and retain workforce.
• Guide onboarding managers to enhance orientation programmes.
• Guide senior management to carry out succession plans to identify and groom individuals to take over leadership roles.
• Liaise with employees to evaluate organisation development and change interventions.
• Prioritise critical open positions to be filled in consultation with line managers.
• Provide advice to business leaders and managers to position the organisation as an employer of choice.
• Recommend sourcing channels to source the suitable candidates in line with business needs.
• Secure involvement of business leaders in the onboarding processes to induct new hires effectively.

• Develop and execute Instagram / Tiktok marketing strategies that align with the company's overall marketing goals.
• Create and manage Instagram / Tiktok content calendars.
• Design Instagram / TikTok content and measure the results of marketing initiatives.
• Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
• Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
• Analyze Instagram / TikTok analytics to measure the effectiveness of different campaign and make recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date on Instagram / Tiktok features, best practices, and trends.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in marketing, communications, or a related field
• 6 months internship
• Good Command of Both Written & Verbal English
• Graphic designing knowledge and skills (Photoshop/ Illustrator) preferred
• Basic photography, image and video editing preferred
• Skills with IG/Tik Tok content creation preferred
• Proficient with use of Canva, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Google Docs, Sheets and Slides

• Responsible for end-to-end sales process which include prospecting, quotations, qualifications, solutioning, closure, pipeline management.
• Maintain up-to-date information in CRM system.
• Contribute to team effort and goals as needed.

Requirements:

• Diploma and above
• At least 2 years in sales role (IT and/or Telecommunications sector)
• Experience in driving new sales or acquiring new logos
• Good understanding of Cloud solutions, IT Infrastructure and Managed services preferred
• Independent, motivated with strong “can-do” attitude
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for communicating to customers and partners
