Become part of a leading energy technology company as a Senior / Technical Sales Engineer specializing in Battery Energy Storage solutions. In this role, you'll collaborate with a diverse team to develop cutting-edge solutions for global customers. Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

• Conducts discovery calls with potential customers to identify current state, ideal state and required capabilities for a solution
• Provides pre-sales software demonstrations of our products and services
• Recommends solutions to problems identified by customers and potential customers
• Answers technical functionality questions about our products and services
• Identifies opportunities for our products and services, including training and professional services
• Maintains expertise in all our products and services as they relate to each customer segment
• Collaborate with colleagues to translate customer needs into technical proposals
• Assist to Design high-level system drawings and layouts for effective solutions
• Create bills-of-material and labor cost estimates
• Develop a deep understanding of energy storage technologies to support the Sales team
• Support projects from design to execution phase
• Conduct training sessions for internal and external teams on the company’s Energy battery storage solutions
• Provide technical support during client interactions

Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

• Degree / Diploma in engineering Electrical or a related technical field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy storage, solar, power generation, or industrial EPC works
• Ability to address complex technical challenges and communicate findings clearly
• Proficiency in developing technical and financial models using Excel
• Comfort with independent work and moderate travel requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills with fluency in English
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.

Responsibilities:

• Using all possible sources including (but not limited to) the internet, research and identify Singapore-based companies and filter their appropriate decision makers for contacting.
• Make contact with these prospects via email, cold calling, direct mail, or other means.
• Develop and continuously improve on effective scripts and messages to convince these prospects to consider CTSG, by arranging sales appointment.
• To maintain a database of prospects contacted and leads generated for future follow-up.
• With leads assigned to the Sales Managers, follow up with them to obtain regular updates on their status.
• Provide sales support to Sales Manager.
• Handle reports assigned by management.
• Develop a good working understanding of CTSG’s products and services and selling strategies.
• Attend lead generation and sales training for ongoing skills development.
• Any other ad hoc sales administrations duties assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant inside sales support / representative experience, preferably with Telco or IT (Software) background
• Working knowledge of telecommunications and products
• Savvy Internet researcher of companies and contacts
• Familiarity with using customer databases/systems
• Excellent cold calling skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills both in English and Chinese (to liaise and handle queries and feedback from Mandarin speaking associates and customers)
• Self-motivated, pro-active and persevering

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to the following:

• Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in defining an annual sales action plan based on research, investigation and analysis of the market trends and execute set actions accordingly.
• Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing with the preparation of the annual budget by providing statistics and forecasts of account productions.
• Source new business within assigned market and market segment and converting business always with a view to maximize revenue for the hotels.
• Prospecting and growing an account list, handling incoming leads, and closing sales.
• Follow hotel performance and short-term forecasts to find weak periods and identify customers for those periods.
• Create excellent guest and client relationships through attention to detail, follow through with a personalized touch and empathy for customer perceptions and needs.
• Organize familiarization trips, site inspections, hotel presentations and participate in tradeshows and showcases (local and overseas).
• Review and analyze business pace and market trends.
• Conduct market research on competitors and latest industry news to identify business development opportunities.
• Support and participate in all client engagement plans.
• Review, recommend and implement local sales efforts to support business needs.
• Review accounts business production and implement appropriate plans to enhance share of wallet.
• Directs the day-to-day activities, plans, organizes, develops, and communicates strategies and goals for the team, maintaining existing accounts, and implementing sales strategies for the respective industry sectors.
• Lead the Sales team in achievement of hotel's key performance indicators that include but not limited to hotel's revenue contribution, profitability, guest satisfaction, team members' satisfaction and loyalty contribution.
• Set individual sales targets for the team and monitor progress.
• Lead team towards achievement of business objectives.
• Lead and participate in sales and marketing activities including sales calls, sales trips, new accounts and groups business acquisitions and conversions.
• Continuously improve through feedback, challenging processes, monitoring the hotel sales delivery against targets, encouraging innovation, and driving necessary change.
• Participate in interviewing, recruiting, hiring, and training qualified candidates.
• Assist in the performance review of the team and make sure that evaluations are done in line with the company guidelines.
• Identify training needs, develop improvement plan, coaching, and discipline of staff accordingly.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff by identifying developmental needs, coaching, and mentoring.
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma and above in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in the Marine industry.

Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Solid understanding of sales techniques, strategies, and best practices.

Ability to analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
