The incumbent’s main responsibilities are supporting the team on Capital and ALM deliverables and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly and quarterly regulatory and internal valuation functions.

• Support on Capital and Asset-Liabilities Management initiatives.

• Assist in the review and setting of strategic asset allocation.

• Support the running of regular Asset-Liabilities Committee meetings

• Support the enhancement of working tools for business requirements.

• Timely and accurate submission of internal and regulatory reports.

• Adhere with internal and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in ad-hoc work or projects

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of actuarial working experience.

• Good progress in actuarial exams from a recognised international actuarial body

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

This position is responsible for valuation, financial condition assessment and other analysis needed to support the business.

Job scope:

Embark on a fulfilling role as an Actuarial Analyst in the Appointed Actuary Department, supporting General Insurance reporting, meeting regulatory requirements, and contributing to key department projects.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Prepare and present statutory and regulatory reports with in-dept analysis and clear, concise explanations of the results.
• Optimise and streamline processes for general insurance reporting analytics, implementing improvements while maintaining robust controls and documentation.
• Contribute to project management functions, ensuring seamless support for the annual bonus communication exercise.
• Assist with the Prophet modelling project aimed at enhancing inforce management of Par Fund.

YOU WILL HAVE

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in in Actuarial Science or an equivalent field, with up to 1 year of experience in actuarial work.
• Demonstrated progress in actuarial professional exams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to step outside your comfort zone and take on new challenges.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is preferred.
• Knowledge of Prophet is a highly desirable.

About the Role

• Work on pricing of new and existing life insurance products and services with internal and external stakeholders with a high level of accuracy.
• Analyse, monitor and evaluate key financial metrics which support initiatives to achieve improvement for the customer, stakeholders and shareholders.
• Review the product related documents.
• Continual assessment, identification and implementation for product improvement and campaigns.
• Support the delivery of various regulatory filing, e.g. MAS, SDIC, FATCA etc.
• Assist the necessary system implementation work, UAT testing, Day 2 enhancement.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in actuarial science or an equivalent field with at least 1 year of experience in actuarial work.
• Demonstrated progress in actuarial professional exams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point etc)
• Knowledge of Prophet will be a plus.
• Strong communication adn stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to step outside your comfort zone and take on new challenges
