We are seeking full-time tutors for Secondary & Primary students.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver Science Lessons for Primary and Secondary School Students

• Teach engaging, age-appropriate science lessons in line with the curriculum, fostering students' understanding and appreciation of key scientific concepts.

Adapt Teaching Methods to Individual Learning Styles

• Customize coaching techniques to address the diverse learning needs, strengths, and areas for improvement of each student, ensuring a personalized learning experience.

Monitor and Track Student Progress

• Regularly assess student performance through quizzes, tests, and observations. Provide constructive feedback and set measurable academic goals to guide their improvement.

Prepare and Curate Educational Materials

• Develop and review instructional materials, including worksheets, visual aids, and interactive resources, to reinforce key concepts and engage students actively in learning.
• Design, update, and organize supplemental resources (e.g., practice problems, study guides) to enhance lesson content and support student learning both in and out of class.

Assess and Grade Student Assignments

• Grade homework, projects, and tests promptly, providing detailed feedback that highlights strengths and suggests areas for improvement to guide student progress.

Maintain Student Portfolios and Academic Records

• Keep detailed records of students’ academic performance, tracking improvements, challenges, and areas for growth. Use these records to inform ongoing tutoring strategies.

Foster Positive Relationships with Students and Parents

• Build rapport with students by creating a supportive and motivating learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents to update them on their child’s academic progress and discuss strategies for continued growth.

Promote a Growth Mindset and Academic Excellence

• Encourage students to set high standards for themselves, cultivating a mindset focused on continuous improvement and a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
  

Requirements:

• A recognised Science-related degree
• Familiar with MOE Primary/Secondary School Science syllabus
• Willing to work on weekends
