Position Objective:

To be involved in areas such as IFRS17 valuation reporting functions, actuarial modelling (liability model/ALS model), as well as, other ad-hoc actuarial projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support IFRS17 valuation reporting for production and ensure the financials are in compliance with current accounting standards
• Identify areas of enhancement in IFRS17 valuation reporting to streamline and value add to current production process
• Maintenance and enhancement of both Prophet liability and ALS model for RBC2, IFRS17 and other internal reporting purposes;
• Support IFRS 17 business planning, including but not limited to development of new capabilities/KPIs, analyzing of the financial results, sensitivity testing and optimizing business strategies with forward looking view;
• Drive and provide support to audit matters, as well as, other ad-hoc projects related to IFRS17
• Support to other business units functions, if needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science or closely related subjects, such as Data Analysis and Mathematics
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience related to IFRS17 valuation in life insurance industry
• Technical, sensitive to details, ability work independently and apply critical thinking
• Job title and rank depend on the number of years of actuarial working experience in Life/GI insurance
• Proficient in MS Excel, Macro and Prophet Model coding
• Good communications skills, meticulous and detail-oriented team player
• Must be a member of an actuary association recognized by the Singapore actuarial society and have a good progress in actuarial exams
• Ability to read and write in Chinese will be an advantage
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese

Position Objective:

To provide support to the Chief Actuary in areas of IFRS17/Project / Modelling.

The role is to support the Actuarial Model manager and IFRS 17 Lead, focusing on Prophet model development, including functionalities for IFRS 17 and IFRS 17 pricing model.

Job Responsibilities:

• Actuarial – Prophet Modelling

1. Work with the team lead on IFRS 17 projects to maintain IFRS 17 actuarial model, and new product modelling
2. Data preparation including model inputs, model points and assumptions for IFRS 17
3. Analyze, document and conduct impact analysis under IFRS 17 reporting.

• Actuarial – IFRS 17 Valuation

1. Provide support in End to End reporting production and actuarial analysis to fulfil the reporting obligation under IFRS 17.

• Ad-hoc project

1. To participate in other ad-hoc projects assigned by the department head, including business planning under IFRS 17.

Job Requirements:

1. Good degree in Actuarial Science/Data Science.

4. Familiar with IFRS 17 valuation and End to End financial reporting is an advantage
5. Experience in actuarial software model development is required; Prophet coding experience is strongly preferred
6. Experience with IFRS 17 implementation projects is greatly advantageous, but not a requirement.
7. Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access
8. Good communication and project management skills
9. Well versed in English and Chinese
