Roles & Responsibilities:
- As an R&D Laboratory Technologist, you will be a vital member of the Battery Material Research (BMR) team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy routine work with a strong inclination towards systems thinking and process optimization.
Big Pouch Cell Fabrication & Optimization:
- Assist on procurment and screenning of advanced materials like cathode, anode, electrolyte, seperator etc for high performance cells
- Apply your knowledge in chemical or materials engineering to develop and optimize big pouch cell fabrication processes.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance the mechanical and chemical characteristics of big pouch cells.
Cell Fabrication & Testing SOP Preparation:
- Develop meticulous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cell fabrication and testing.
- Ensure SOPs align with the unique characteristics of materials used in lithium-ion battery technology.
Battery Testing and Report Preparation:
- Conduct thorough battery testing using your background in physics, materials science, or related disciplines.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, emphasizing the physical and chemical aspects of battery performance.
Requirements:
- Possess min. Diploma/Degree qualification in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Nitec/Higher Nitec aspirants with working experience may be considered as well.
- Open to training provided on battery material research processes and equipment.
- Prior experience working in a process laboratory, ideally in a cleanroom environment.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical laboratory work.
- Timely and accurate completion of assigned projects with attention to discipline-specific details.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and techniques related to your field of expertise.
- Ability to speak, read Mandarin and English due to the nature of laboratory process equipment hailing from China for the battery processes.
