Job Description:

• Provide technical support to the teachers-in-charge of science, contributing to students' learning experience by assisting with the preparation of materials and apparatus for practical work.
• Ensuring that laboratory safety rules and risk-assessment guidelines are adhered to.
• Assist HOD(Science) to collate existing resources, maintain stock checks, place orders, take care of deliveries and invoices as well as keep departmental financial records.
• To perform any other duty assigned by School Leaders, HOD(Science) and other assigned School Staff

Requirements:

• Good understanding of laboratory safety would be essential.
• At least ‘O’ Levels certificate or minimum 4 years’ experience working in a primary school laboratory
• Good communicator, organized and practical.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Able to handle live specimens, insects and chemicals.

Job Summary:

Science Lab Technician act as an support for teachers in schools and ensures a condusive learning environment to students in the schools. They play a crucial role in supporting the educators in various tasks ranging from to subject related matters.

Job Description:

• Maintain general cleanliness and upkeep of the science laboratories.
• Prepare teaching resources (including tools/equipment/materials/apparatus and any learning or training kits) in collaboration with teachers.
• Manage inventory to maintain sufficient stock and procure of new equipment/materials/components when necessary while tracking the budget and resources utilisation in the Science Laboratories.
• Assist in classes, workshops and other events in logistics matters.
• Conduct specific experiments as per HOD’s instructions.
• Assist General Office's operations through providing adminstrative support.
• Any other duties assigned by HOD and school leaders.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
• Good organisation and record keeping skills;
• Proficient in MS Office
• Independent and proactive in completing the assigned tasks
• Good communication skills.
• Good prioritazation skills.
