SUMMARY:
Develop business for the Regional Sales department by being contact point for overseas agents’ enquiries and local customers for both local and overseas market. Ensure compliance with company’s guidelines and to ensure an extremely high service level is maintained operationally to our direct clients and partners.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle operations on an A-Z basis file, on global shipments reporting to the Manager.
- Handle global & local enquiries for rates.
- Diligently source for best rate options to remain competitive to enhance the volume of shipments.
- Ensure rates quoted are accepted by agents/partners/ customers before shipment takes in effect.
- Proactively follow up on quotation sent to agents/partners/customers with closure.
- In charge of coordination of shipments for overseas market, when necessary.
- Maintain Sales and P&L reports and comply with all management directives in a prompt and concise manner.
- Maintain existing and develop new relationships with carriers, airlines and co-loaders where needed, in order to provide solutions and optimize revenue.
- Minimize the risk be it financial or liabilities to M+R for all shipments in accordance with guidelines set by the management and/or SOPS and to utilize the company’s IT tools and to actively promote them.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all SOPS on a regular basis and keep the management regularly and pro-actively updated.
- Assist Manager on ad-hoc duties whenever necessary.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. GCE ‘O’ Level/ Diploma or higher
2. Fluent in written and spoken English and other local languages
3. Able to work on own initiative offering overseas offices/overseas and local customers a professional high level of service
4. Able to see jobs through from start to finish
