Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation and Maintenance
- Safely set up, adjust, and operate a range of textile machines, including single jersey knitting machines, carding, yarn spinning equipment, yarn melting machines, woven machines, and other lab-scale instruments.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machines and testing lab equipment, such as troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors for repairs, and scheduling regular maintenance.
- Basic understanding of electrical parts repair and troubleshooting is beneficial.
Quality Control and Testing
- Utilize measurement devices to ensure accurate production and conduct standard quality testing procedures on yarns, fabrics, non-woven materials, and membranes.
- Familiarity with general laboratory equipment like hotplates and hot-press machines is advantageous.
Adaptability and Documentation
- Quickly adapt to new equipment and processes, as well as evolving measuring procedures.
- Maintain meticulous records in the laboratory journal, documenting sample preparation conditions and testing results accurately.
Safety and Compliance
- Implement and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the laboratory environment.
- Attend regular safety training sessions, maintain safety records, and uphold safe working conditions.
- Ability to lift up feeders with polymers, containers and other parts of machinery up to 10-15 kg weight is necessary.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with textile manufacturing machinery is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
