Our client is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst (Life Insurance), a financial services institution with 40+ million customers. This role will assist the IFRS 17 reporting team in generating, reviewing, and finalizing periodic financial reports.

Requirements:Responsibilities:

• Strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with IFRS 17 requirements and enhance financial accuracy.
• Participate in UAT processes to validate product launches and model modifications.
• Perform detailed analyses to improve the quality and reliability of IFRS 17 results.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely execution of tasks related to financial reporting and control improvements.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• With 7-10 years of relevant experience in finance or actuarial studies with practical knowledge of IFRS 17 and several years of experience in the life insurance sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new financial and technical concepts.
• Proven track record in delivering accurate analyses and insightful commentaries.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across international and remote teams.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with expertise in crafting clear reports and presentations.

Open to contract for 12 months - renewable!

The primary responsibilities of this role involve overseeing the entire pricing process for new products, collaborating with Actuarial Pricing leads, conducting premium and benefit pricing, setting actuarial assumptions, performing profitability testing, and ensuring the smooth implementation of product systems.

Responsibilities:

• The role will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Pricing to maintain the financial health of the insurance company, protect policyholders' interests, and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities under the Insurance Act.
• Collaborate with other teams to address client requests.
• Participate in risk management projects and contribute to various department-wide activities such as experience studies, financial stress tests, and regulatory initiatives.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of actuarial experience in life insurance product pricing or financial products
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Statistics, Economics or equivalent
• Proficiency in tools like Prophet, VBA, and Excel programming
• Strong communication skills, an engaging and open-minded working attitude
• Meticulous attention to detail for financial analysis.
• Amenable to work on a Hybrid set-up, work location at Mapletree Business City Singapore
