This role will be highly focused on the development of actuarial modelling to support project as well as to support actuarial teams within the company. The candidate will actively participate in and contribute to the group-wide actuarial transformation initiatives of modelling platform modernization, manage, and drive local adoption as well as involved in training for the new platform to the wider actuarial community.

Role Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be the representative and subject matter expert in actuarial modelling modernisation workstream of project and support the new platform assessment, migration and eventually roll-out to LBUs.

• Collaborate with Pricing, Reporting teams and Regional/Project counterparts to meet modelling requirements

• Ensure compliance with both local and group-wide model governance requirements

• Oversee the local changes and adoption

• Drive proof of concept / pilot project for modelling transformation locally

• Provide training for the new platform to the wider actuarial community.

Who we are looking for:

Competencies & Personal Traits

• Expert in Prophet systems (both Deterministic and Stochastic modelling) and valuation data management program (such as SQL)

• Passionate about driving excellence in insurance analytics

• Experience in managing and delivering large scaled of actuarial model changes

• Passionate about financial reporting and knowledgeable of the end-to-end valuation process

• Detailed oriented and work independently

• Strong technical and analytical skills

• Committed to excellence and always strive to deliver results with high standards

Working Experience

• At least 7-10 years of actuarial experience or any other analytical role (mostly in actuarial modelling)

• Expert knowledge of Prophet system is a must.

• Experience on Prophet ALS model is preferred.

Professional Qualifications

• Actuarial qualification is preferred but not necessary.

Education

• Degree in Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance

We are looking for actuarial candidate who is passionate about financial reporting, in particular IFRS17 reporting.

Job Description:

• Provide feedback to the review of the regional and local technical interpretation of the standards
• Review the business requirements according to the technical decisions for requirement of the standards
• Provide actuarial support and feedback to solution design team and IT to improve the end-to-end ETL tools for better efficiency and analysis
• Support the implementation of the changes to the end-to-end ETL tools, including development of data, model and IFRS17 reports
• Participate in UAT for ETL tools, source system changes and sub-ledger system, including business validation of the IFRS17 reports
• Ensure the end-to-end reporting process and control for Actuarial, including data preparation (set up of Prophet model, model points and assumptions) in an auditable manner for IFR17 reporting
• Participate in the Business Planning process for IFRS17 financials
• Collaborate with other local and regional teams in IFRS17 reporting
• Analyse and explain IFRS17 results and support business initiative for result improvement
• Perform reconciliation between IFRS17 basis and other reporting basis
• Support the audit on IFRS17 reporting
• Provide actuarial support to the Finance division initiative on reporting process re-engineering
