Position Objective:

To be involved in areas such as IFRS17 valuation reporting functions, actuarial modelling (liability model/ALS model), as well as, other ad-hoc actuarial projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support IFRS17 valuation reporting for production and ensure the financials are in compliance with current accounting standards
• Identify areas of enhancement in IFRS17 valuation reporting to streamline and value add to current production process
• Maintenance and enhancement of both Prophet liability and ALS model for RBC2, IFRS17 and other internal reporting purposes;
• Support IFRS 17 business planning, including but not limited to development of new capabilities/KPIs, analyzing of the financial results, sensitivity testing and optimizing business strategies with forward looking view;
• Drive and provide support to audit matters, as well as, other ad-hoc projects related to IFRS17
• Support to other business units functions, if needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science or closely related subjects, such as Data Analysis and Mathematics
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience related to IFRS17 valuation in life insurance industry
• Technical, sensitive to details, ability work independently and apply critical thinking
• Job title and rank depend on the number of years of actuarial working experience in Life/GI insurance
• Proficient in MS Excel, Macro and Prophet Model coding
• Good communications skills, meticulous and detail-oriented team player
• Must be a member of an actuary association recognized by the Singapore actuarial society and have a good progress in actuarial exams
• Ability to read and write in Chinese will be an advantage
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese

We are looking for someone:

• Involve in full suite of experience studies including assumptions recommendation, maintenance, and financial impact analysis as in the areas of reserve (IFRS17 and local basis), new business value and new business CSM.
• Involve in IFRS17 policyholder experience gain/loss reporting and to provide deeper analysis of underlying contributors.
• Involve in the regular experience monitoring and highlight/ investigate variance in experience and its root cause.
• Involve in experience monitoring Power BI tools development working with regional and local analytic teams.
• Assist in the inforce management projects to deep dive on experience drivers and propose recommendations to improve customer experience and inforce value to the company. This includes close collaborations with various stakeholders on different inforce management initiatives.
• Assist in any other projects as assigned.

Nice to Have:

• Good progress of actuarial exams.
• At least 4-5 years of working experience with good understanding of data, actuarial experience monitoring and insurance business know-how.
• In-dept knowledge of insurance products and their earnings attributes.
• Creative, thinking out of the box, meticulous to details, effective communications and planning are key elements for success.
• Good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Access, Words, Power Point) and Power BI (or any equivalent visualization software).
• Knowledge of IFRS17 and local regulatory are added advantage.

Academic Head (Math and/or Science)

• Location: Run different branches (Thomson Plaza [HQ], Tampines, Punggol, Parkway, Bukit Timah)
• Working days: 5 days (Tuesday to Saturday)
• Working time: 2 weekdays (10am – 7pm) ; 2 weeknights (12.30pm – 9.30pm) ; Weekend (8am - 6pm)

Position Summary

• To plan, lead, organise and oversee the teaching and classroom delivery to achieve desired learning outcomes, and organise corporate activities that contribute to the success of the organization and increase customer engagement.
• To set the framework for the centre’s curriculum and pedagogy, ensuring that it is in alignment with MOE guidelines, the centre’s values to create an enriching and effective learning experience for Learning Point students.

Job responsibilities:

1. To monitor and ensure lessons are delivered according to expected standards and desired outcomes through regular class observations and regular trainings or workshops conducted for teachers and associate teachers (Eg. Value-added marking workshops, classroom management, parents management etc
2. To maintain close communications with parents through meet parents meetings, workshops for parents and other written correspondence, eg. newsletters
3. To conduct regular review sessions with staff team to appraise and feedback on work performance and approval of leave teachers.
4. To provide leadership to lead curriculum innovation, curriculum planning, curriculum design and research.
5. To stay current with curricular trends and changes in Singapore and to ensure changes in MOE guidelines are integrated promptly into the centre’s curriculum.
6. To plan, research and create innovative programme/materials that are in alignment with MOE guidelines and create an enriching experience for the centre’s students
7. Collaborate with the marketing manager to provide contents to develop marketing materials to promote a strong and unique branding of the centre’s programme
8. To actively scan the internal and external environments to identify potential problems and opportunities which can be addressed or capitalised to maximise the students’ learning experiences.
9. To shape a culture of high competence, commitment and connectivity
10. Any other duties may be assigned from time to time

• Minimum 3 years managing a team of teachers
