RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute assigned research tasks to support the development of new products in accordance with customer or industry specifications, or to adapt existing products for novel applications.
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to supervisors or the team based on research findings.
- Make routine decisions within established precedents, considering objectives, with limited supervision.
- Conduct intermediate troubleshooting or analysis, interpreting data using generally prescribed procedures to address problems.
- Analyze technical data, contribute to project planning and coordination, and participate in problem-solving efforts.
- Address problems or customer complaints related to current products and assist in implementing formula or process changes for new applications.
- Interact regularly with internal departments, offering basic technical or procedural information.
- Obtain, maintain, and upgrade laboratory testing equipment for product and process development with appropriate approvals.
- Stay updated on technical developments in the field by reviewing literature and patents.
- Attend technical conferences, trade shows, and educational courses to stay current in the field, with the ability to present information.
- Contribute to technical reports, papers, patent applications, project updates, and technical overviews as needed.
- Document precise results and findings in laboratory books, databases, and/or files.
- Assist in reviewing and updating product data sheets and technical data packages.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, using protective equipment as required for handling materials.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in organic / inorganic chemistry, glass science or PV Processing preferred
- Knowledge in Thick Film is an advantage.
- Minimum Degree in Materials Science or related field
- Experience working in laboratory setting
