The research and development engineer will focus on scaling up and optimizing the solution-based perovskite solar module fabrication.

Key Responsibilities are listed as following:

• Material Development: Formulate and optimize perovskite precursor solutions to achieve high-performance thin films with excellent uniformity, crystallinity, and stability.
• Process Optimization: Develop and refine large area solution-based deposition techniques such as slot-die coating, inkjet printing, and blade coating for scalable production.
• Device Fabrication: Design and fabricate perovskite solar cells, including single-junction and tandem architectures, using solution-based processes.
• Characterization: Perform advanced characterization of solution-processed materials and devices, including optical, electrical, and structural analysis using techniques like UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, XRD, PL, and IV testing.
• Stability and Reliability: Investigate degradation mechanisms of solution-processed perovskite layers and develop strategies for improving device stability and reliability under operational conditions.
• Innovation: Explore new solvents, additives, and processing conditions to enhance performance and scalability of solution-based perovskite materials.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including material scientists, device engineers, and manufacturing teams, to align research outcomes with production goals.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of experiments, analyze results, and prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor or Master’s in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

· Demonstrated expertise in solution-based perovskite synthesis, thin-film deposition, and device fabrication.

· Experience with solution processing techniques, such as spin coating, slot-die coating, or inkjet printing.

· Experience with drying processing techniques, air-knifing, VCD and oven annealing.

· Proficiency in materials and device characterization techniques, including SEM, XRD, UV-Vis, and IV measurement.

· Strong understanding of perovskite chemistry and degradation mechanisms.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with large-area coating processes for scalable production.
• Experience in tandem solar cells or integration with other photovoltaic technologies.
• Knowledge of industrial-scale solution processing methods like roll-to-roll fabrication.
• Proficiency in simulation tools for solar cell design and analysis.

- Develop new /revised formula of Early Life Nutrition, need to work very closely with HQ and R&D team (mostly Japanese speakers) in Japan.

- Smooth and deep communication with analysis organizations, raw material suppliers, etc. (mostly Japanese-speaking, Japanese-based companies) is required.

- Closely work with sales team as well as customers to help developing marketing strategy.

- Formulate the nutrition products, suitable for all age groups, including infants.

- Require advanced knowledge on nutrition.

- Develops applications and concepts using his/her knowledge in the product category.

- Necessary to have minimum 10 years of experience in technical /product development of Early Life Nutrition.

- Mandatory requirement of advanced communications skills.

- Proficiency in Japanese to liaise with Japanese speaking stakeholders.

Job Summary

Responsible for engineering activities in product improvement/engineering projects; performs engineering analysis, equipment and process set up, carry out risk assessments and validations as well as production implementation for completed projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in product improvement/engineering projects, and responsible for engineering activities.
• Take the lead in problem solving and action planning in project management.
• Perform risk analysis (FMEA) to define process flow and control plan.
• Perform equipment qualification and process validation for product improvement/engineering projects.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to junior engineers and other departments.
• ·Ensure projects are implemented in line with the schedule and budget.
• Optimize new/improved process parameters to further improve product quality and the overall equipment effectiveness.
• Explore new process to improve product quality or productivity.
• Be responsible for the successful transfer of new/improved process/methodologies into the production with good process margins and inline controls.
• Involved in hands-on execution of manufacturing operations.
• Provide operational training for operators or related personnel.
• Manage administrative duties as well as ad-hoc projects assigned by immediate superior.

Job Requirements

• Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing/ Biomedical Engineering related disciplines or equivalent.
• Good mechanical or material aptitude and knowledge.
• Good experience of manufacturing process and cGMP manufacturing.
• Experience of operational management and lean manufacturing.
• Clean room/environment control experience.
• At least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Excellent English-speaking & writing skills
• Multi-lingual: Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts, other languages are an asset
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to write professional reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
