Income’s Actuarial team aims to create exponential value and cultivates a dynamic learning culture. We are a strong partner with other departments to transform and innovate the delivery of simple, honest and customer-focused insurance solutions. You will be an integral member of the Actuarial General Insurance Team who will work in collaboration with other key team members, the Business Department and Claim Department on key functions pertaining to General Insurance pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide data-driven insights using external and internal data sources to enable business initiatives via portfolio management
• Drive discussion with underwriters and claims team to gather insights into business and claim trends
• Provide pricing and analysis support to business stakeholders
• Develop automation solutions to actuarial work processes
• Ensure deliveries follows the department's best practice on risk and compliance

Requirements & Competencies

• Good progress in actuarial qualifications with 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in General Insurance pricing or portfolio management actuarial function
• Experience in using data software & machine learning software will be added advantage
• Strong team player who is adaptable, open to a dynamic working environment and willing to explore new ways of working
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

We are looking for someone:

• Involve in full suite of experience studies including assumptions recommendation, maintenance, and financial impact analysis as in the areas of reserve (IFRS17 and local basis), new business value and new business CSM.
• Involve in IFRS17 policyholder experience gain/loss reporting and to provide deeper analysis of underlying contributors.
• Involve in the regular experience monitoring and highlight/ investigate variance in experience and its root cause.
• Involve in experience monitoring Power BI tools development working with regional and local analytic teams.
• Assist in the inforce management projects to deep dive on experience drivers and propose recommendations to improve customer experience and inforce value to the company. This includes close collaborations with various stakeholders on different inforce management initiatives.
• Assist in any other projects as assigned.

Nice to Have:

• Good progress of actuarial exams.
• At least 4-5 years of working experience with good understanding of data, actuarial experience monitoring and insurance business know-how.
• In-dept knowledge of insurance products and their earnings attributes.
• Creative, thinking out of the box, meticulous to details, effective communications and planning are key elements for success.
• Good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Access, Words, Power Point) and Power BI (or any equivalent visualization software).
• Knowledge of IFRS17 and local regulatory are added advantage.
• Team player oriented as well as can follow up tasks independently.
• This is an individual contributor role.

• Work closely with reporting and regional teams.
• This includes liaise with various stakeholders on different inforce management initiatives.
