Job Description

• Execute our Formative Minds’ curriculum (~10 to 12 classes lessons per week, 2 hours per class)
• Deliver lessons according to Formative Mind’s teaching and curriculum standards to ensure high quality of student learning
• Record and input students’ milestone check quizzes results into our proprietary data-analytics platform
• Monitor and analyse class and students’ learning through prompt feedback (written/verbal), data analysis, and grading of students’ work
• Establish and maintain good relationships with students and parents; provide regular updates to parents on students’ performance and progress
• Provide support and ideas towards the improvement, planning and development of curriculum
• Contribute actively in team meetings
• Create and maintain a safe and conducive learning environment for students
• Provide coverage for teachers who are unable to take their assigned class due to unforeseen circumstances
• Other ad-hoc duties such as work on educational projects or events
• Perform all administrative and other duties as assigned
• Able to work at least 1 weekend

Management Associate Programme (for selected teaching staff)

• The Management Associate Programme is designed to allow teaching staff to develop themselves beyond being a teacher into a more holistic business facing professional
• Selected teaching staff with aspirations to develop their career as management will have the opportunity to join our Management Associate Programme
• Management Associates will have the opportunity to rotate across different departments including but not limited to Business Development, Branch Excellence, Customer Excellence, Human Resource, Marketing, Technology, and Finance.
• Teaching load will be calibrated for teaching staff who are enrolled into this programme

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Graduate from a local university (NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, SUSS, SUTD) preferred
• At least 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience (preferred)
• Familiar with the local Singapore school curriculum

This role will take the leadership of building an innovation pipeline for S&T projects across Asia and lead the creation of an innovation portfolio via partnerships with academic institutions and other innovation hubs, with the goal of creating novel and advanced products for Danaher’s growth franchises.

This role will work collaboratively with multiple Business Strategy and R&D leaders across Danaher’s Platforms and Operating Companies (OpCo’s) to launch Danaher Ventures (equity investment), Pioneer (venture creation), Beacon (sponsored academic research) and/or Nexus (intrapreneurship) projects, and to ensure that IP created through these strategic partnerships is properly advanced to new products.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Identify complete set of start-ups and new ventures in Asia that align with the strategic envelope of the Danaher Ventures and could be targets for investment. Areas of focus: Genomic Medicine, Next-Generation Bioprocessing, Human Systems R&D, Diagnosis and AI/ML in Life Sciences and Healthcare. Initiate contact with targets in order to develop an point of view on attractiveness, adjacency and actionability. Lead cultivation, deal development and due diligence on select targets in partnership with Danaher’s internal network of subject matter experts and commercial leaders. Prepare and present findings for internal review and sign-off. Monitor and manage, as appropriate, investments post close
• Complete in-depth market work in order to prioritize opportunities and develop a point-of-view on attractiveness
• Develop and improve standard work around opportunity identification, partner cultivation, opportunity assessment, and transactions
• Work closely with our Danaher Country Presidents across Asia, as well as the OpCo’s leaders in those countries.
• Apply the Danaher Business System to develop and improve standard work around intra- and entrepreneurship

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Advanced degree in a scientific / engineering discipline and/or business (Areas of focus: Genomic Medicine, Next-Generation Bioprocessing, Human Systems R&D, Diagnosis and AI/ML in Life Sciences and Healthcare), plus 8+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Life Science industry discovery and early development
• Experience in venture investing in early- to late-stage startups, experience/lab work in a biology setting, preferred. Mixture of Asia and global experience preferred. Successful track record in external R&D, partnering, licensing and/or business development preferred
• Established networks across scientific/biotech/pharma/academic/investment communities
• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Demonstrated high integrity and ethics in all dealings, non-political in conduct, while understanding internal and external dynamics

Job Description:

· Lead R&D Projects: Drive the design, development, and innovation of interventional medical devices, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

· Product Development: Oversee the product development lifecycle including feasibility studies, prototyping, preclinical and clinical validation, design for manufacturability (DFM), and regulatory approvals.

· Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction, mentoring, and leadership to a multidisciplinary team of professionals and engineers.

· Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, marketing, and quality) to ensure seamless product development and alignment with business goals.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that products comply with relevant regulatory standards (e.g. FDA, CE Mark, ISO 13485) and manage interactions with regulatory bodies.

· Innovation and Strategy: Identify emerging trends and technologies in the interventional medical device field, incorporating them into product development strategies.

Requirements:

· Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D within the medical device industry, with at least 5 years focused on interventional medical devices (e.g. catheters, stents, Sheaths, etc.).

· Proven track record of leading product development from concept to market launch.

· Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality systems for medical devices (e.g., FDA, CE Marking, ISO 13485).

· Experience managing R&D teams, including engineers, scientists, and technical staff.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of technical competence in medical device engineering.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical challenges and business priorities.

· Familiarity with Design Control, Risk Management, and Human Factors Engineering processes.

Job Description

• Execute our Formative Minds’ curriculum (~10 to 12 classes lessons per week, 2 hours per class)

The R&D Director, Specialty Flavor & Ingredients APAC is responsible for the scientific and technical direction and leadership of the APAC Flavor Creation and Application Team across two geographic locations (Singapore and China). Coordinate strategic direction of the Creation and Application function across APAC – ensuring alignment to Commercial Business Strategy (APZ & China Specialty Flavors & Ingredients) ensuring cross functional alignment and engagement at all levels.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build technological and leadership capabilities across Flavor creation and Application team by developing an efficient team striving for excellence, performance and shared accountability. Develop top talent and manage and develop technical and leadership competency to address succession planning needs. Create a robust technical community to develop best in class practices and allow transfer of knowledge across functions, whilst maintaining required confidentiality.
• Lead Flavor creation and Application activities to build-up raw material palette, local and relevant portfolio/collection, and support flawless formula localization and/or rationalization to improve margin performance that delivers a competitive edge.
• Implement effective systems and processes to enable functional and organizational effectiveness. Ensure activities related to the functional compliance with relevant Acts/ Legal Requirements, Business Ethics and Food Manufacturing Standards. Manage adherence to applicable Global, Regional and Local policies and standards to protect proprietary information.
• Serve as technical expert and advisor to marketing, sales, flavor creation, application, sensory and customers for multiple applications and creations. REQUIREMENTS:

• 15 Years Flavor Creation in the Flavor and Food Industries;
• Extensive experience in Flavor Creation and Application and Analytical Science;
• Experience in leading product development and technical teams across various product categories (Wet and Dry);
• Experience in international Flavor Houses;
• Experience in the commissioning, qualification and validation of a Greenfields manufacturing site preferred.
• BSc (Food Science), Quality / Research & Development
• Must have a comprehensive international understanding of the Flavor and Food Industries including product manufacture/ technology;
• Contribute to strategic thinking on the Long-Term Planning (LTP) for Asia Pacific R&D as well as input into Global R&D Strategy;
• Knowledge and experience in both Flavour and science/technology. Experience with Wet and Dry Categories – Herbs, Spices, Condiments, Sauces, Coating, Seasonings also highly regarded;
• Understands the business impact (profit, cost and risk) of any decisions made on product, process and regulatory issues;
• Insight and understanding of key regulatory changes – Partner with QA&RA functions to ensure understanding and of business impact and risk mitigation.
