Scope of Services

The Services required include, but are not limited to:

• Assist during lessons in the science lab.
• Support teachers with Science-related events and activities.
• Prepare apparatus and materials for internal Science practical assessments.
• Set up, clear, and clean the science lab as required by the Head of Department (HOD)/Science.
• Track and record the usage of science apparatus and set-ups.
• Take stock of science lab consumables and equipment and ensure proper labeling.
• Report obsolete or damaged goods in the science lab for replacement.
• Label all cupboards in the science lab with their contents.
• Enhance the Science labs with print-rich materials (e.g., displays, posters, and concept cartoons).
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance of equipment.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the HOD/Science.

Qualification, Skills & Experience of Personnel

The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Familiarity with computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of classroom procedures, including facilitating science experiments and group work.
• A pleasant, caring, patient, and nurturing disposition, as assistance and first aid may be required for students in a girls’ school.
• Experience in a school setting and enjoyment in dealing with young children.
• Advantageous if the candidate has qualifications relating to Science.
• Experience working in a school science lab and possession of basic first aid certification.
• Comfortable interacting with people of all levels and capable of multi-tasking.

Job Description

o Manage and maintain proper inventory and

conditions of Science equipment and materials

o Housekeeping of the laboratories and preparation

rooms

o Assist teachers in the preparation of materials for

the conduct of laboratory and E2K lessons; and

assist the Science teachers during laboratory

lessons

o Assist in the creation of manipulatives for use in

teaching and learning of Science

o Support teachers in conducting Science activities

during recess, when necessary

o Take charge of the maintenance of the animals

such as birds, frogs and stick insects and their

enclosures in the school

o Assist in the watering/care of plants in the Eco,

Butterfly, Rooftop and Community In Nature

(CIN) Gardens on Mondays, Wednesdays and

Thursdays

Working hour 5 days a week, office hours

Qualifications:

•Min. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Chemistry or related science field majors.

•Minimum 5 year experience in technical service, application field and have a record of delivering results.

•Work experience in skin care, cosmetic or home care business companies or ingredient suppliers

•Experience in formulation development is an added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities:

Big Pouch Cell Fabrication & Optimization:

• Assist on procurment and screenning of advanced materials like cathode, anode, electrolyte, seperator etc for high performance cells

Battery Testing and Report Preparation:

Requirements:

• Possess min. Diploma qualification in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines.
• Willingness to learn with training provided on processes and equipment.
• Prior experience working in a process laboratory, ideally in a cleanroom environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical laboratory work.
• Timely and accurate completion of assigned projects with attention to discipline-specific details.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and techniques related to your field of expertise.
