The Laboratory for Translational and Molecular Imaging (LTMI) at Duke-NUS Medical School aims to develop local infrastructure and deep capabilities in the development of molecular imaging technologies for guiding the advancement and translation of cancer immunotherapies and companion diagnostics. Najjar is interested in neurobiological interactions between the eye and the brain and in processes by which light can regulate ocular and neurological functioning and development. The goal of our group is to translate fundamental findings in visual neurosciences into screening and therapeutic interventions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be involved in an innovative research project investigating novel artificial intelligence-driven pupillometric and eye-tracking strategies to detect ocular and cerebral neurodegeneration.

The successful candidate will be part of a versatile research group from NUS and the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) and will benefit from a lab equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmic examination and research equipment. Appropriate mentoring and support will be provided by the senior members of the team, with the aim of producing high-impact publications and securing additional and individual research funding. We are looking for a committed team player responsible for the coordination and development of science communication activities of the FRS and FHT programmes. You will work closely with the FRS and FHT Management team, as well as with researchers from SEC, ETH Zurich, and local partner institutions in Singapore.

• Responsible for day-to-day business data management and regular business report preparations, which includes SAP material master maintenance, data integrity checking and statistics.
• Daily monitoring of basic system health and to flag out any inconsistency in API/System functions when found/reported.
• Daily monitoring of system backend jobs and ensure transactional data are interfacing in healthy state with external/internal system.
• To support Business Analytics, extracting and reorganizing original data, dealing with data related issues with other departments.
• Responsible for data preparation, data mining, to create/identify opportunities through analytics, to optimize business objectives.
• Communicate findings and insights to relevant stakeholders in order to assist Manager in making data-driven decisions in KPI assessments.
• Drive continuous improvements /optimization of campaign performance tracking report with business while complying to A*STAR policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree preferably Business Analytics, Information systems or Computer Science.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights.
• Self-Starter with a strong sense of urgency.
• Aptitude to challenge the status quo, think outside the box, and question what has been done.
• Comfortable with dealing with sets of data points from different sources.
• Qualities of matured thinking, dependable and requires minimum supervision.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
