The applicant will work closely with a leading R&D team from the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), NUS where the use of singly-ionized lutetium (Lu+) for optical clock applications has been pioneered and its key atomic properties relevant to clock performance has been established. Successful applicant will join our Time & Frequency Laboratory and be responsible to develop a broad range of solutions that enable progress in cutting-edge science of optical clocks that could lead to the SI Second being redefined. Together with the team from CQT, NUS, the applicant will take the ownership to jointly develop a Lu+ optical clock.

More specifically, the applicant will be involved in the design and development of atom/ion experimental setups, including frequency stabilized laser systems, data acquisition systems and software for experimental control & analysis. Work Hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 6:00pm (inclusive of 1hr lunch break)
• Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm (inclusive of 1hr lunch break)

Objective:The Research Assistant (RA) will support the operations of the Psychological Services Branch, Special Educational Needs Division (PSB/SEND), specifically focusing on the School Intervention Literacy (SIL) Systematic Screening Process.

Duration of Service:March 2024 to May 2025

Scope of Services:

1. Project Management: Oversee project logistics and manage details of multiple research projects.
2. Liaison: Coordinate with school personnel to arrange assessments for selected students.
3. Consent Management: Ensure necessary consent for assessments is obtained.
4. Assessment Administration: Administer and score standardized assessments.
5. Data Entry: Enter assessment information and behavioral observations.
6. Data Analysis: Collaborate with PSB officers to manage and analyze students’ data.
7. Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other tasks such as literature reviews.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

1. Education: Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology, or Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours).
2. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with school personnel professionally.
3. Experience with Children: Minimum 3 months of experience working with children, with a preference for experience in behavior management.
4. Time Management: Strong time management skills to complete assessments within specified timeframes.
5. Organization: Meticulous organization and data management abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
6. Independence: Ability to work independently.
7. Assessment Experience: Prior experience in the administration of standardized psycho-educational assessments preferred.

What the role is:

This is a team of learning and development (L&D) specialists and researchers who support the building of public sector capabilities in domains such as governance, social-economic policy, international relations, and public communications and engagement, and policy tools. What you will be working on:

· Sense-make and support the capacity building needs of officers and teams in the public service, especially those doing policy and planning. This includes identifying their competency gaps.
