As an Analyst Aviation Finance, you will have a key role in promoting and expanding our Aviation Finance (AF) business in the Asia Pacific region, excluding Japan. You will also be responsible for supporting the AF team in operational, research, and auxiliary functions.

Job Responsibilities include:

Strategic Initiatives:

• Assist the AF team with deal origination and execution, cooperating closely with the relevant MUFG branches and divisions.
• Prepare and update internal reports related to AF transactions
• Conduct borrower ratings and credit analysis for existing or potential clients.
• Source and share market information on AF's clients, investors, financial partners, and other market participants with Global Aviation Finance Office (GAFO)

Financial Tasks:

Customer Engagement:

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential AF clients with a view towards originating mandates to lead debt issuance. This includes arrangements with clients for various financing methods such as warehouse financings, portfolio financings, PDP financing, ABS-type transactions, JOLCO financing, and airline structured bonds (EETC private/public)

Team Engagement:

• Collaborate with various departments and work with GAFO as a cohesive global aviation team.

Risk & Control:

• Ensure transactions risk profile align with the Bank's risk criteria and provide analysis and assessment of transactional risks, obtaining necessary credit approvals.
• Monitor and ensure credit compliance for executed transactions not yet transferred to Portfolio Management.
• Adhere to pertinent MAS regulations and MUFG group policies.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree holder
• Min 1 year of experience within the banking industry, airline’s finance or treasury team or aircraft lessors
• Experience with banking processes would be an advantage.
• Analytical and credit skills demonstrated through the ability to perform financial analysis.
• Good knowledge of legal principles, particularly those pertaining to the documentation of aircraft finance transactions
• Strong business acumen with a keen sense of identifying deal-closing opportunities.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to coordinate processes, as English is the primary means of communicating instructions.
• The successful candidate will also be self-motivated, an excellent team player, customer-focused, and able to work independently.

Purpose of the role

As Procurement Analyst, you will be working closely with Regional Procurement Category Lead and Head of Procurement Team by contributing to the end-to- end Category management and strategy development, including sourcing execution, contract negotiation, as well as supplier management processes. Your role is pivotal in identifying and realizing cost saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category across all MUFG’s business units.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation in regional category sourcing strategies with regional category leads for assigned categories of products and services, several which are complex and of strategic importance, high value and critical to the success of the business.
• Drive to have analytics to enable effective procurement strategies to measure and improve supplier performance against key business objectives while reducing costs and increasing value
• Ensure and support documentation and update of related process and policy, working with Finance, Legal, Procurement, support criteria for new supplier evaluation and qualification
• Support the business partners are aware of procurement standards and processes
• Utilize and support procurement processes (category strategy, RFP, SRM, compliance, etc.)
• Support and drive sourcing activities through the utilization of applicable corporate policies.
• Execute and support cost saving initiatives that deliver value in the indirect Procurement of goods and services.
• Support new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate
• Stay abreast of commodity prices that are significant drivers in the cost of products and the impact that commodity cost changes have on unit cost.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business administration, or accounting
• Minimum three years' of experience in procurement /category management/ sourcing
• Experience in Procurement system – Zycus, Ariba, Coupa
• Has handled high volumes of spot-buy, ITQs, RFQs
• MS office suite, specifically MS excel, word and PowerPoint
• Ability to plan and prioritize work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written, verbal)
