Learning and Teaching:
- Ensure that all students are accounted for through accurate register taking.
- Ensure that plans and resources prepared are delivered and that the learning environment is both safe and productive and, where appropriate to subject specialism, plan and deliver lessons.
- Ensure in our diverse learning community that the needs of all learners are met and that plans are followed as explained.
- Successfully manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the school’s Behaviour Policy, fostering an environment of mutual respect and positive relationships.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students by acting as a role model, ensuring students are empowered to reach their full potential and contribute to the school community.
- Collaborate with Heads of Faculty and the Secondary Leadership Team and colleagues to contribute to the smooth operation of the school day, with a strong commitment to student well-being and student achievement.
Planning and Preparation:
- Actively supervise and monitor learning, providing feedback as required and appropriate.
- Ensure assessments are conducted appropriately
Personal Specifications – Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Teaching Degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning and the ability to meet the individual needs of all students, promoting inclusion and diversity in the classroom.
- Effective use of IT and a willingness and ability to learn systems in use.
- International experience preferred, with a global perspective aligned to the school’s mission of preparing students to be active participants in a globally connected community.
- Desired: Familiarity with the IGCSE and IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) curricula, understanding their academic structure and focus on inquiry-based learning, academic rigour, and holistic development.

Essential:
- Compliance with visa requirements for working in Singapore
- Must hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent for countries lived in outside of the UK.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, with a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training as required.
