Main Job Purpose:
Unilever International is one of the fastest growing businesses within Unilever with annual TO of ~Euro 1.35bn and there are strong plans in place to reach Euro 2bn in the next 3-5 yrs. Business is structured into different Business Groups in line with Unilever Org design and this role in particular would lead end to end supply chain for the Personal Care Business Group (which is the biggest business group within UI with annual TO of ~Euro 600M and has plans to grow to Euro 1BN in the next few yrs).

Key Accountabilities:
Business partnering the BG Head:
- Business partner Personal Care (PC) Business Group Head and be the first point of contact for all supply chain issues for the BG.
- Lead the service, cash, cost and quality agenda for the PC supply chain.
- Work with Global BG SC teams and UI BU cluster SC teams to unlock structural capacity issues and deliver growth through service improvement.
- Work with BG finance teams to understand margin hot spots and help support margin improvement through a robust savings delivery.
- Monitor business waste and help to reduce the same by working closely with the BG and BU business teams.
- Define the right service strategy (MTO vs. MTF) by customer-SKU combination to support business growth.
- Setting the right allocation guidelines for constrained formats by working closely with the BG head.
Sales & Operations Planning:
- Lead the Sales & Operations planning process for the BG including demand review with BUs, demand-supply reconciliation and identifying risks and opportunities to mitigate gaps to plans.
- Drive the overall process through cross functional participation focussing on both top and bottomline.
- Lead the complexity reduction roadmap working closely with the BG head and have a clear portfolio defined at a customer-SKU level.
Sourcing Strategy and Sourcing Network Optimization:
- Understand the current sourcing footprint with clear rationale behind each format-SU combination and role of each site (strategic vs. tactical).
- Define and lead a clear sourcing decision making process (including Make vs. Buy) for the BG in line with overall UI sourcing decision making process .
- Align UI sourcing strategy with Global BG SC teams and identify opportunities for sourcing network optimization to get the right balance between service, cost and agility.
Mid to Long Term Planning:
- Work with UI BU SC teams to identify capacity hot spots in the mid-term (4-12 months) through a demand-supply reconciliation process and develop resilience sourcing options with the help of Global BG SC team.
- Ensure formal capacity sign offs with all SUs/clusters with help of UI BU SC teams.
- Prepare a long-term forecast (3 to 5 yr horizon), taking inputs from the business on long-term growth ambitions and work with Global BG SC teams on long-term capacity planning.
- Identify UI-driven capacity requirements/CapEx investments through the process, prepare business case with the help of supply chain finance teams and get necessary stakeholder sign off.
Network Management:
- Network management for all strategic transformation, savings and resilience projects including drawing the project network, working closely with cross functional stakeholders and ensuring delivery on time in full.
- Ensure all quality and compliance controls are followed for all the networks in line with UI NPD Bluebook.
Performance Management:
- Build capabilities to measure and track performance for the PC BG globally:
- Service Level Measurement and Loss Tree Analysis
- Forecast Accuracy and Bias by different cuts (vertical, format, brand, sourcing unit)
- Action Planning to mitigate losses
- Overall Savings program for the BG
- Business waste trend
- Inventory trend (Fast moving vs. slow moving)
Professional Skills:
ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain.
PREFERRED
- Candidates with APICS certification.
Experience Required:
ESSENTIAL
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain
- Cross Border Supply Chain Experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
